I have a designated dog area in my home. I have a dinning room area where I put their bedding, crate, dog bowls to feed them, and toys. They will also have access to the kitchen and my small back yard as well to go on their potty breaks as well as taking them on their walks. I Do Not let dogs free roam completely in my house for safety reasons, especially if they are new to my home I don’t want them trying to run out the front door, and also from preventing them from damaging my furniture and other things. I have taken care of dogs in the past where they have peed and pooped on my furniture, beds, and carpets, chewed up and damaged items in my home so that is why I no longer let them free roam unless I have pet sit them multiple times and they are super comfortable with me and know they are 💯 potty trained and don’t chew on things. I have the dining room and kitchen areas in my home with secured dog gates for safety precautions to keep your pets and my children safe especially my 2 year old toddler. As a pet sitter that is always boarding dogs in my home I always take all safety precautions. As nice and friendly a dog can be, sometimes they can get triggered by something and can react especially if they are new in my home. I’ve pet sit dogs in the past where a couple of times they were friendly with me, and then they tried to bite my boyfriend or another family member to whereI had to call the pet owner to pick them up. Ive had dogs growl at my toddler who were also nice with me and my older kids but did not like my toddler bc they are higher energy, so I had to move the dog away from my son so they wouldn’t bite him. Please please please let me know important information about your pets temperament behavior and how well they’ve been socialized with people and other pets. When taking care of your fur babies I want to make sure you give me all of the important information of your pet/pets. If this is their first time being with a pet sitter and in someone else’s home, they can sometimes panic and get high anxiety. I really need to know if your pet has high-Stress and Anxiety and is on special medication for it. This is imported bc sometimes from experience there are dogs that don’t do well at a new persons home and may react negatively by panicking, trying to escape, not liking the designated gate areas because they are use to free roaming in your home, growl, try to bite, and chew on things around the house. So I need to make sure if I can accommodate your pets needs because I might not be able to and I won’t be the right pet sitter for your pet and that is okay. I will only take care of dogs that are very friendly with everyone especially small children, they get along great with other dogs, non-aggressive dogs, I will not accept aggressive, any bad temperament's, that does not get along with other dogs or people, full grown dogs that have destructive behavior and destroy things, and or high anxiety with a lot of stress dogs. Chewing is very understandable with puppies which I also provide doggy chew toys for them as well. I take care of puppies all the time. Let me know If your dog doesn’t do well in gated designated area’s, their temperaments, what are their likes and dislikes, are they OK with being around other dogs, are they social, are they good with kids, cat friendly, are they spayed or neutered, in heat ,if they are on a specific diet, are they allowed certain treats, do they have any allergies , their veterinarian information in case of an emergency, how do they sleep if they sleep in a crate, are they potty trained, etc. so I can properly take care of them. I make sure I accommodate them at my home as best as I can so they can feel safe and happy when they’re away from their home. Every pet is different and has different needs so just let me know and I’ll make sure to follow your instructions. I treat your pets like if they were my own and I just want to have as much fun with them as possible. 😊 They will get lots of love here since I also have my family that loves playing and also helps taking care of the doggies I watch so we’re like a team! I have a small fenced back yard where your dogs can go outside to get some fresh air, play, and go potty. I live close to a park where I can walk the dogs to. My neighborhood is also great to walk your dogs as well.
