Availability

We are typically very flexible with our schedule and can accomodate early mornings/late nights for drop off/pick up. Most of the time, our availability ranges from Wednesday nights to Sunday evenings. On certain occasions, I able to take dogs with me to my office located 25 minutes from my base location. I will only do this with written permission from the owner. If you are interested in days that I have marked off on my calendar just shoot me a message anyways. I might be able to move things around. We do not accept bookings in the summer (June/July/August) due to our work schedules.

Information Alanis T. would like to know about your pet

Things we like to know before sitting your dog: - are they friendly with other dogs? are they reactive to bunnies, squirrels, etc? - are they friendly with kids? - what the meal schedule is - walk schedule - how well potty trained are they - commands they know - any allergies they may have/medications - any interesting quirks like drinking toilet bowl water, chewing shoelaces or stealing socks - we love when owners provide us with a detailed list of things to know about their dog when they are being sat with us!

A typical day

We live within walking distance to several parks and the Charles River bike/walking paths. We usually take our dogs on 3 "longer" walks per day - in the morning, mid day & before bed time and smaller outdoor breaks between.

Pet care experience

My husband & I are a team and have been sitting for several years with regular/repeat clients. Both of us grew up with family pets and prior to our current residence, I dogsat all throughout college. Our schedule is extremely flexible and we can usually do early mornings and late nights. I do my best to respond immediately to requests and texts. Our goal when watching over pets, is to make them as comfortable & at home as possible. On most of our walks, we like to take dogs to places such as parks, beaches, the Charles River or nature trails. We tend to avoid dog parks unless an owner gives us permission.  We have experience with all kinds of dogs, young, old, energetic, calm, etc. We regularly watch dogs that require oral medication.  During a pet's stay, we ALWAYS send periodic updates on how your dog is doing, including pictures. We do our best to get to know your pet before their stay and welcome meet & greets via phone, facetime or in person. We do NOT book two different stays at one time so your dog(s) is/are the only one being taken care of at one time. I have a large reliable SUV that can be used to pick up/drop off pets if requested. It can also be used in case of emergency.

I always know my dogs are in good hands with Alanis and her partner! They always send frequent updates and make me feel at ease when I am away. They are always bringing the pups for nice long walks and they come home exhausted from all the fun they had.

Alanis took such good care of my baby boy, Leo! She sent me updates throughout the day, and Leo looked so clean and happy and in shape when I picked him up. Without a doubt, I will always reach out to Alanis whenever I need help with Leo from now on!

Our dog, Gavin, had a great time with Alanis! She was highly responsive and flexible when we came back earlier than originally anticipated. We’d definitely consider working with Alanis again in the future!
