Animal lover with vet experience
I grew up surrounded by animals and have always loved caring for and learning about them. Over the years I’ve had many different animals of my own, and I currently have my little dog Kai, who is a very important part of my family. My love for animals has also been influenced by my dad’s work in wildlife conservation, so I’ve grown up with a real appreciation for animals and their individual needs. I’ve also had experience working in a veterinary practice, which I absolutely loved, and I’m now starting my training to become a Student Veterinary Nurse. I’m naturally very patient, gentle and attentive with animals, and I really enjoy getting to know their individual personalities and routines. I understand how much trust is involved in leaving your pet with someone else, so I’ll always treat them with the same care and attention I’d want for my own pets.

Alana is a great pet caregiver because she has a genuine love for all animals and especially for dogs. I have spent a lot of time with Alana and can see nothing but love and care for her own pet but also when she took care of my own dog for a week. Animals are drawn to her calm and settled demeanour and this creates a happy home for all animals
Alana has looked after my cat, Milo, several times. She ensures he has enough food and water, whilst also giving him lots of affection. Milo is a skittish boy who struggles with new people, Alana took the time to let him get to know her without scaring him. I’d recommend Alana to anyone who needs their pets looked after, she will always go above and beyond to make them feel safe and cared for.

Schedule
At the moment, I have a very flexible schedule, which means I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals in my care. I’m currently taking some time to focus on gaining more experience with animals before starting my training as a Student Veterinary Nurse. My days are generally quite flexible, so I can fit around your pet’s usual routine rather than expecting them to fit around mine. I enjoy getting outdoors, going for walks and spending time with animals, so pet sitting and dog walking is something I genuinely enjoy doing. I’m happy to discuss individual routines, feeding times, walks and any other requirements your pet may have, and I’ll always do my best to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible while you’re away.

Your pet’s safety and happiness are my biggest priorities. I understand that leaving your pet with someone new can feel like a big decision, so I’ll always take the time to understand their routine, personality, likes and any specific needs before looking after them. I’m happy to care for pets in their own home, where they can stay in a familiar and comfortable environment, and I’m also able to welcome pets into my home where appropriate. My own little dog is friendly and used to being around other animals, and I would always make sure any introductions are done carefully and at a pace that is comfortable for everyone. I’m responsible, attentive and safety-conscious, and I’ll keep you updated while you’re away so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I’ll treat your home with the same respect and care that I would my own, and most importantly, I’ll treat your pet as one of my own.
