Pet care experience
Animal Lover at your service!
I have been doing Rover for around 4 years now, I’ve taken a break earlier this year, but my schedule is now open for new bookings! A little bit about me: I’ve always been passionate about animal care since I was young. I’ve worked with/owned cats, small animals, and dogs of all sizes and breeds. I took part in a vet assistance course in college, volunteered at my local zoo, and worked at a pet store for a bit before joining Rover! I’m experienced working with disabled, elderly, and medicated pets. I live in a pet friendly neighborhood (Roslindale) , with plenty of trails and parks for dogs to experience. I also have a spacious grassy backyard that is fully enclosed by a large fence. I currently have a cat in the home that stays upstairs for most of the day, and never interacts with the pets I board. Getting to know your pet: Meet and greets aren’t necessary, but it would be helpful giving me insight about your pet. Some things I would like to know specifically include: - Does your pet take any medications? - How is your pet with other animals? - Is your pet potty trained? - Dietary/allergy restrictions - Feeding and walking schedule - Certain behaviors to look out for During your pets stay, I will include consistent updates and photos to ensure your pet is in good hands! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about my services!

Ratings and reviews
Alana is very caring and trustworthy. Our dog always have a good time with her.

As always, Alana was the most amazing sitter for Murphy! This visit, my husband and I were away for Murphy’s 2nd birthday and Alana was so sweet to celebrate his birthday and send us the cutest picture. She goes above and beyond, always, and Murphy hesitates to leave because he has so much fun with her. Thank you for taking such great care of our sweet boy! You’re the best!

We have used Alana many times to watch Brewster. We always know he is in good hands and will be given lots of love!

Our very shy dog did great with Alana! She stayed for 3 nights and everything went well. Alana is easy to work with, tried to get Dori to walk (easier said than done), and was very communicative. She has a great yard for running around and even let Dori hang out on the couch with her. Will be rebooking!!

Alana has watched our two goldens 4 or 5 times now and is always great!! Super responsive, takes awesome care of them and they always come home tired and happy :)

Alana was once again nothing but incredible with my dog, Murphy! I had a sudden family emergency ahead of a scheduled drop off with her, and she agreed at 10pm the night before she’d be able to accommodate us 3 days earlier than planned. After that family emergency turned into a funeral and meant I would be away for even longer, she again accommodated us. In a time where I was swirling with so many other things and stressed about getting everything done, Alana brought me peace knowing that Murphy would be well taken care of. She’s become a best buddy for Murphy, who practically refuses to leave after he’s spent so much time there having fun. I really can’t thank her enough.Murphy and I are so lucky to have found Alana!

I do rover Full-time at the moment, so I am home most of the day. I can cater to pets who cannot be left alone for more than a few hours.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard, with grass and plenty of room to run around and play! My house is also air conditioned in every room, and there are more than enough couches and beds for your pet to lounge on! I currently have a friendly cat, she tends to stay upstairs ! I provide Lots of balls, toys, bowls, blankets, and chewing toys for the pups!
Pets
A typical day
There’s a pretty long walking trail next to my house (Sherrin Woods) and I provide a medium sized backyard for your pup to run and play in, which can be accessed anytime. When the weather gets too hot, I offer a little dog pool out in the yard to cool the pups down, that is of course if the dog isn’t afraid of water! I also love going to parks in the neighborhood with the pets that I take care of. Some of my favorite places to go are The Arnold Arboretum, The Millennium Park, Stony Brook Reservation, Blue hills, and Castle island!
