Pet care is more than a job; it’s a passion that shapes how I structure my time and energy. Every day revolves around ensuring the pets in my care are happy, healthy, and well-attended to. From early morning feedings and potty breaks to playtime, walks, and bedtime routines, I prioritize their schedules and needs. I’ve structured my life to be available when my clients need me most—whether it’s regular care, boarding, or last-minute requests. I dedicate time each week to learning more about pet behavior, health, and care to ensure I provide the best services. I truly enjoy being around animals, my work feels natural and fulfilling. It blends seamlessly into my life, providing both structure and joy.

Safety, trust & environment

Caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s home, is all about meeting their individual needs with love, attention, and professionalism. In My Home: -Safe and Comfortable Environment: My home is pet-friendly, with a securely fenced backyard for play and exercise. Pets are treated like family and have access to comfortable spaces for rest and relaxation. - Routine and Structure: I establish a consistent schedule for feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and quiet time to ensure pets feel secure and cared for. - Socialization: For boarding and daycare, I host a limited number of dogs (4-5) at a time, allowing for healthy social interactions while ensuring I can provide one-on-one attention. - Special Needs: I’m experienced with administering medications, including shots, and caring for dogs with special needs. Client’s Home: - Routine Maintenance: I stick to the pet’s established schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime, minimizing disruption to their routine. - Home Security: I ensure your home is secure by respecting your space and following your instructions regarding keys, alarms, and house rules. - Daily Updates: Clients receive updates with photos or messages, so they can feel connected and assured their pet is happy and well cared for. No matter the service, my priority is your pet’s happiness, safety, and well-being. I aim to make your pet feel at home wherever they are and provide you with peace of mind. Boarding and Daycare Requirements To ensure a safe and harmonious environment for all pets in my care: - Male dogs over 1 year must be neutered - All dogs must be well-socialized and get along with other dogs. - Dogs must also be crate trained for their comfort and safety when I am not home. These requirements help create a stress-free and enjoyable experience for all the pets in my home.

A typical day

I make sure the pets in my care enjoy a variety of fun, enriching activities tailored to their energy levels, personalities, and preferences. Here are some of the activities I include: In My Home: - Playtime in the Backyard: With a securely fenced yard, pets can run, chase toys, and play games like fetch or tug-of-war. - Socialization: For dogs that enjoy being around others, I facilitate safe and positive interactions with other boarding and daycare dogs. - Brain Games: Puzzle toys, treat-dispensing games, or simple training exercises keep their minds sharp and engaged. - Cuddles and Relaxation: For pets who prefer a calmer vibe, I offer plenty of one-on-one time with belly rubs, snuggles, or just relaxing together. Client’s Home - Stick to Their Favorites: If your pet has specific toys or games they love, I incorporate those into their routine. - Personalized Walks: I match the pace and distance of walks to each pet’s energy level and fitness needs. My goal is to keep pets active, happy, and engaged while ensuring their safety and comfort. Let me know if there’s a specific activity your pet loves, and I’ll include it!

Alan has been awesome as a dog sitter! He takes great care of my pup and when I get the photo updates it always looks like my dog’s having a great time. It’s clear that Alan cares about the dogs and is a very responsible sitter-your dog is in good hands with him!

Alan was great throughout this whole process from the meet and greet all the way to picking up our pup after a 10-day stay! Our booking changed a few times due to our work schedule and Alan was understanding and flexible. This was Oso’s first time boarding with him and if you have a standard poodle, you know how stubborn they can be, but Alan was very patient with him! Alan sent us lots of pictures and videos and it was very comforting to see Oso having fun playing and resting with the other dogs. We could tell Oso was loved and cared for. We will definitely be booking with Alan again!
