I work remotely and full-time, with dedicated windows of 930-12 and 1-3 at my desk. Outside of those hours, I have a flexible schedule and can work from anyplace with good wifi and a comfortable chair. I’m very active and love to spend time outside, so I am very happy to exercise your pups.

A typical day
With my own dog Merlin, i love to play sniff and search games, hike, bike, and xc ski, and work on being polite and friendly both on and off leash. I’m happy to take your dog to the park, on long walks, and work on some fun training while wE’re together!

Pet care experience
I grew up caring for our three family dogs, my horse, and I have experience caring for a variety of livestock in addition to dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with special needs (behavior/giving meds/senior animals) and truly love to be with the animals. I love to train my own dog, Merlin, and I am always excited to work with new animals and build a strong relationship with them! Merlin is well behaved and friendly with all creatures and comes along with me to house sit/will be present if you board with me. This works great for dogs that are gentle with small dogs and enjoy a companion. I live in a neighborhood with a lot of dogs, often with some off leash, so please consider if this will be an ok situation for your dog before booking! I can be home all day (WFH) and live across from a park in addition to the small fenced yard attached to my house. Merlin and I take a long (often off leash) walk every day, if that’s your dog’s jam.

Alaina did a phenomenal job with our girl Sage. We were in town for an event and the hotel didn’t allow for dogs, so Alaina came to the rescue! Sage enjoyed spending time with Merlin and Alaina sent great pics of their walks and play time. She also let us come and get her during our stay, which was so great. Would definitely recommend !
I boarded my pup with Alaina while I was in Steamboat for a work trip. She was so great, taking him on walks and giving him snuggles! She even worked on some training with him. Her dog was adorable and it was so great to see photos of the two pups playing. I only wish she lived closer so Siggy could have regular play dates. She will be my go-to sitter anytime I’m in Steamboat!
Alaina is a wonderful caretaker of my kittens. She was exceptionally caring and attentive to the needs of my two kittens. She also, kept me informed on a daily basis with photos of the boys and her interactions with them. I'm so happy to have had the exceptional care of Alaina, as she treated my kittens as if they were hers. Alaina will be the first person I reach out to for future care of my little boys.
Alaina was great with Mac and I appreciated the great communication and updates as Mac isn’t always the easiest dog to manage. Mac got a lot of exercise and had fun hanging with Merlin, Thanks!
