Shelter work, taking care of friends' pets
Many of my childhood friends had dogs, cats, (two mice and also a turtle) so I've grown up surrounded by animals. I would take them for walks and spend some nights petsitting when they'd go on holidays. I have also volunteered in an animal shelter in my home town. I would help with feeding and playing with disabled dogs, injured cats, cleaning their areas and brushing donkeys.

Akshita was wonderful cat sitter for Walnut who boarded with her for a week. Akshita was very responsive from the beginning, replying to enquiries and organising a meeting. During the stay she sent daily pictures/videos with updates and Walnut was clearly well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again!
Akshita was absolutely fantastic looking after our British Shorthair, Mimi. Mimi is naturally quite shy and not very sociable, so we’re always a bit nervous leaving her—but Akshita completely won her over, which really says everything! Mimi stayed at Akshita’s home for a full week, and it was clear she felt safe and comfortable there. Akshita kept us updated with messages and photos/videos, and we could see Mimi gradually relaxing and even enjoying the attention—something she doesn’t usually do with new people. Akshita and her husband are both incredibly kind and caring, and it was obvious they treated Mimi with real patience and affection. They took the time to understand her personality and let her come out of her shell at her own pace. We came back to a very happy, settled cat, which is the best reassurance we could have asked for. We feel very lucky to have found them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Akshita to anyone—especially if your cat is a little more reserved like Mimi.
Couldn’t have asked for more from Akshita, she was always on time and sent me additional updates which I was extremely grateful for. My cats immediately loved her, and Akshita made sure to play with them when she visited as well as feed/water them. I came home to very happy cats and a beautifully clean and tidy home. Thanks so much!!!! 🙏✨
This is the second time Akshita has looked after our cat, and we're very happy again!
Akshita took very good care of tayto, she gave me updates and sent me pictures of him having the best time every day. I would highly recommend her ;)

Schedule
I work from home so I'm available all day at the service of your fur baby. I'm available most weekends and over the holiday time if you want to visit your friends/family.

I have a fenced back garden and conservatory overlooking trees, where your cat can watch birds and squirrels. Cats are allowed on furniture/bed so they can cuddle up at night if they prefer.
