As a child I grew up with the loveliest boxer that ever lived. My second one, I rescued a dog from the streets of Bombay - he was a good boy as well, but pretty nervous, which gave me some experience with a different temperament.

Akhil has had dogs from a young age and has had two of his own, so being around dogs is second nature to him. He’s comfortable with different temperaments, which shows in how calm and patient he is with them. He genuinely loves being around dogs, probably more than anything else, and it comes through in the way he looks after them. He’s very responsible about routines, makes sure walks happen on time, and pays attention to what each dog needs day to day. At the same time, he actually enjoys spending time with them, playing with them, and keeping them engaged rather than just doing the bare minimum. He’s reliable, communicative, and takes the responsibility seriously. I would trust him completely with my own dogs or cats and would feel totally at ease knowing they were with him. They’d be well cared for and have a genuinely good time with him.
I can’t recommend Akhil highly enough as a dog sitter. He is an old friend, and we have lived together, so I’ve seen firsthand how caring and attentive he is with dogs. He has a lovely, comfortable home and genuinely adores dogs, treating them like part of the family. Akhil has looked after my 10-year-old French Bulldog on several occasions, and I always felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such safe and loving hands. He’s patient, responsible, and very tuned in to my dog’s specific needs. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust him again and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Schedule
I work from home at a startup with great work-life balance so I can certainly give your animal the care they need. I am able to step out at least twice a day for a long walk.

I live in a high-rise, pet-friendly apartment with a well-protected balcony. There are plenty of great places to walk a dog around where I live.
A typical day
I like treating animals as people, talking with them, helping them make sense of their world. I'm a pretty active person myself, and pet-sitting until I feel ready for my own dog so I'm quite happy to give your pet my full attention, as if it were my own.
