I am available anytime on Sat-Mon, and on weekdays from 5:30-8pm. Currently working at an elementary school nutrition office from 8-5pm Tues-Fri every week. Outside of my work hours, my availability is very flexible.

A typical day
A typical day with me starts with feeding, fresh water, and a little playtime or a short walk before I head to work. During the day, I make sure pets have what they need to stay comfortable and safe. When I’m back, I spend quality time with them whether that’s a longer walk, brushing, playing, or just relaxing together. I always follow the instructions given to me by the pet’s caregiver, so the schedule can be adjusted to fit their specific routine and needs. In the evening, I make sure everyone’s fed, happy, and settled for the night.

Hello! I’ve spent years taking care of pets of my own, as well as for friends, neighbors, on Rover and Trusted Housesitters. I’ve looked after big and small dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, and kids of all ages. I really love being around animals and getting to know their different personalities. They always bring so much joy and fun energy. I take caring for other people’s pets as a big responsibility and always want them to feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. Wow- What peace of mind I had with Akane in our home for our 2+ weeks away! This was our first time using a house sitter, and I was admittedly nervous about leaving our young, active kitties so long. But Akane was wonderful. From the moment we met her, she radiated a calm, trustworthy energy, and that feeling held true the entire time we were away. She is conscientious, reliable, and followed every instruction with care. I loved receiving regular photo updates of our cats looking relaxed and happy—they even started sleeping on the bed with her! When a small breach arose in our cat-proofed backyard, Akane handled it and got our little escape artist safely back inside, keeping both kitties safe and sound for the rest of the stay. We came home to a spotless house that looked exactly as we left it, and two content, well-cared-for cats. Akane is a genuinely kind and responsible person who brings a wonderful sense of integrity and attentiveness to her work. I would absolutely trust her again and recommend her without hesitation!
