I work in the office Monday/Wednesday, so would only be able to dog sit in the day on Tuesday/Thursday/Friday and weekends. I’m usually at home after work, however, so would be happy to dog sit from Mon or Weds evening through to the next day. I often play golf on minchinhampton common over the weekends, however would be happy to pair this with a dog walk!

I live in a fairly well sized house (three bedrooms), with both a front and back garden. The back garden is fenced and a nice size. Definitely big enough for a large dog to run around in! There is plenty of space in the house for a dog bed/crate etc.

Pet care experience

I’ve always had a real love for all animals, but dogs in particular. I grew up with a flat coated retriever, and spent lots of time with my Dads border collie as I got older. During COVID, I volunteered for dog walking on Borrow my Doggy and spent a year walking a lovely cocker spaniel in Nailsworth. Whilst I enjoyed this, I’m keen to dog sit at my home, as I am lucky enough to work three days a week at home and able to take frequent breaks for walks, playing in the garden etc.

Having just used Rover for the first time, I can honestly say what a brilliant experience it has been. Feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful local to look after Rupert. Ajay is such a lovely young man. He clearly loves dogs and is very natural with them. He was really tuned in to Rupert's needs and checked in with us about anything that might affect him. Rupert seemed happy and well cared for, and we will definitely book Ajay again. Can't recommend him highly enough!

Ajay was very flexible and easy to communicate with - I didn't know the exact time of my drop off and pick-up but he was really cool about it. Mungo had a great day with him and slept in the car all the way home (3 hours!) - the sign of a well exercised dog. He'd clearly had a great time hanging out with Ajay on the common and in the garden. I'd highly recommend Ajay and I will definitely use him again if I am in the area.

Bonnie had a wonderful time with Ajay (if the reluctance to leave his side was anything to go by) and I felt so confident leaving her in his capable hands. He walked her, took her out for coffee and she played in the garden, what more could a dog wish for. I have already re-booked Bon in for another stay.

Amazing dog sitter, malleable with drop off and pick up if needed. Big house and garden with plenty of space to explore and run around, and great walks nearby. Ajay has a genuine heart and love for dogs , Poppy was treated like one of the family from the start. Would definitely recommend!
