Hi! I'm AJ, and I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember. I've owned multiple dogs throughout my life, and they've always been more than pets—they're family. Friends often joke that I'm the "dog guru" because dogs naturally seem to connect with me, and I connect with them just as easily. Building trust with dogs has always come naturally, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality. Over the years, I've cared for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing a little extra patience and attention. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I've dog sat for family members, friends, coworkers, and neighbors, earning their trust to care for one of the most important members of their family. I also spent time fostering dogs, which gave me experience helping dogs adjust to new environments and routines. Some stayed with me for only a few days, while others became part of my home for much longer. That experience taught me how to adapt to each dog's individual needs and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved no matter how long they stay. I'm also an active person, so if your dog enjoys adventure, we'll probably get along great! I've spent countless hours taking dogs on neighborhood walks, hiking trails, trips to the lake or river, visits to dog parks, playing in open fields, and even fun car rides. Of course, if your dog prefers naps on the couch over outdoor adventures, I'm just as happy spending a relaxing day at home with them. One of the biggest advantages I offer is that I work from home. Your dog won't be left alone for long hours while I'm away at work. Throughout the day they'll have companionship, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of attention. Whether your dog loves playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply relaxing nearby, I do my best to follow their normal routine so they feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. As a dog owner myself, I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone else with your pet. My own dog, Dante, is a huge part of my family, and that's exactly how I treat every dog who stays with me. Before each booking, I take time to learn your dog's personality, feeding schedule, exercise routine, medications, favorite activities, and anything else that helps them feel secure. I believe consistency is one of the best ways to reduce stress while you're away. Safety is always my top priority. I provide a clean, organized, dog-friendly home and carefully introduce visiting dogs to Dante to make sure everyone is comfortable. I only accept dogs that are a good fit for my home so every guest has a positive, low-stress experience. Communication is just as important as great care. While you're away, I'll send regular photo updates and messages so you can relax knowing exactly how your pup is doing.
