Cozy and homey care for your pup!
My name is Áine (pronounced Awn-ya) and my partner is Jared! I’m from Michigan and Jared is from North Carolina. We moved down to Austin in July 2023 so that I could start graduate school. I grew up with an F1B labradoodle, and my parents now have a Weimaraner (who I took care of for over a year). In 2022, I rescued Mr. Fionn, our Treeing Walker Coonhound, from the side of the road in rural eastern North Carolina. He wasn't potty trained, he was nervous, and he needed a lot of training, but he's really become such a wonderful companion. While Jared didn’t grow up with dogs of his own, he absolutely loves spending time with them now. I am happy to cater to each dog's needs-- whether it's a slower-paced walk, fetching a ball in the backyard, or even exploring some local state parks together. Fionn is always excited to meet his new playmates, too. We are really excited to meet your dog and help out in whatever way that we can. ‼️two things to note ‼️ -We cannot always accommodate constant/full-time care. As a PhD student, I am not at home full-time. Your dog with receive the same level of care as we typically give to our dog, Fionn. With that being said, your dog will always receive thoughtful, loving care! - We do not typically take puppies or small dogs. (We do have some exceptions, so feel free to reach out if you’re still interested.)

My dog had the best time with Áine, Jared, and Fionn! Áine sent amazing photos and updates, and gave him tons of walks, playtime, and cuddles. He also became quick friends and loved to play with her very sweet dog, Fionn. Can’t recommend Áine enough!
LB had such a good stay with Aine. We received daily check ins and photos and Fin is the perfect doggo companion too!
Aine was amazing & accommodating allowing my baby to board last minute when my AC went out! He had the best time & I felt very comfortable leaving him.
Aine did such a great job with Pippin! He clearly had an amazing time.
Aine is the best! She does an amazing job of keeping me posted on how my dog is doing and sending photos. She even prints photos of our pup for us when we pick her up. It's so nice knowing my dog is in good hands, and having fun, while we're away! I couldn't ask for a better experience.
Aine, Jared and Mr. Fionn are my favorite Rover sitters! It’s been a few days since pickup and Stella is still exhausted. Y’all are actual miracle workers!

Schedule
As a PhD student, I'm in and out of the house throughout the day, and can easily make adjustments to my schedule to fit the needs of each dog.

Safety, trust & environment
The environment depends on what each dog needs. I can offer lots of stimulation, if needed, or quiet, safe space if that's what your dog prefers. I'm happy to walk reallllllly slow on walks so that dogs can get all the good smells, too.

A typical day
A typical day might look like: - sunbathing and sniffing time in the morning followed by a walk - stimulating treat in the afternoon - an afternoon (or evening depending on temperature) walk - playtime in the evening - cuddles and pets at night For pet parents, you can expect a minimum of two updates per day with photos and/or videos!

- I think that it's important to meet your pet ahead of time-- a meet & greet of sorts. What is your dog's activity level? What are their favorite toys? What kind of treats do they normally get? etc.
