I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I'm not squeezing pet care into rushed pockets of time. I can actually build my day around your pet's routine instead of the other way around. Whether that's a mid-morning walk, feeding at a specific time, or just being around for regular check-ins and playtime, I have the flexibility to adjust and stick to what your pet is used to. Consistency matters a lot to animals, so being able to match their normal schedule rather than forcing them into mine is something I really value.

Safety, trust & environment
When I'm caring for pets in their own home, my priority is keeping everything as close to normal as possible: same feeding times, same walking routes, same spots for naps and playtime. I always ask owners for a clear rundown beforehand: feeding instructions, any medications, house rules, emergency contacts, and vet info, so there's no guesswork. I make sure doors and gates are secure, food and water are fresh, and I do a full check of the space before I leave to make sure everything's back the way it should be. I also stay observant during visits, watching for anything unusual in behavior, appetite, or energy, and I'll always update owners with a message or photo so they know their pet is safe and happy. Trust goes both ways, so I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I'd want if it were my own.

Pet care experience
Honestly, what sets me apart is that I've actually lived it. I raised two dogs from puppies all the way into their senior years, and these days I share my home with my cat, who runs the place (as cats do). So I get it, dogs and cats need totally different things, and I know how to read both. I'm calm, patient, and a little bit of a worrier in the best way. I'll stick to your routines, remember the little things, and treat your pet like they're already part of my family. To me, sitting isn't just about showing up and getting through a visit. It's about making sure your pet actually feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.
