In my own home, I create a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment where animals are treated like family. I have a securely fenced yard for outdoor play and exercise, and small, well-behaved dogs who are friendly and non-aggressive. Pets in my care have access to cozy, pet-safe furniture and are free to relax and explore in a supervised setting. While my own animals are no longer crated, I have experience with crate training and can easily follow any crate routines or boundaries requested by pet owners. Similarly, when caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I follow feeding schedules, walking routes, medication instructions, and household rules with precision and respect. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and comfort level, and I always aim to minimize stress by creating a consistent, reassuring presence. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or theirs, I bring the same level of attention, experience, and genuine love for animals to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for.

I currently maintain a part-time work schedule, which allows me ample availability in the afternoons and evenings to provide attentive and consistent care for animals. Additionally, I am fully available on weekends, making me a flexible and reliable option for pet care during both the week and weekends. My open schedule ensures that I can devote the time and presence needed to meet each pet’s unique routine, whether it involves feeding, exercise, companionship, or special care.

- Before watching someone’s pet, it’s important for me to gather key information to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being. I always ask about the pet’s feeding schedule, dietary restrictions, and any medication needs or medical conditions. Understanding their daily routine, including walk times, potty breaks, and play preferences, helps maintain consistency and reduce stress. I also make sure to learn about the pet’s personality, including any behavioral quirks, anxieties, or signs of aggression, as well as how they typically interact with other animals and people. Knowing whether they are crate trained, where they usually sleep, and which areas of the home are off-limits is also essential. Lastly, I ask for emergency contact details, including their veterinarian’s information, to ensure I’m fully prepared to handle any situation that may arise.
