I am currently on summer break in my hometown (Everett) and have pretty open availability. I intern at paws from 8am-12pm on Sundays & Mondays, and 12-5pm on Thursdays, but other than that, I am free for walks, house sitting, or drop ins!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is extremely important during both house sitting & walks! For walks, I like to make sure dogs stay on the side of the sidewalk away from the road, as well as being properly harnessed and equipped with essential needs like poop bags and water incase of an emergency. I also keep a sharp eye out for other dogs to steer clear from unwanted interactions. Additionally, during house sitting, outside doors stay locked at all times, and your pet is watched 24/7. No escapes will happen on my watch! I am open to following any other rules, expectations or suggestions you have regarding your pet & house’s safety!
Information Aeries E. would like to know about your pet
For walks, please let me know if there are any areas your dog frequents or enjoys and any that should be avoided. Knowing their possible triggers always helps as well so I know what to look out for! For house sitting & drop-ins, I would love to know your pet’s schedule! This makes it easier on them to keep a routine - things feel more normal while you’re away! Potty break times, feeding schedule, medication times, ect - all useful information! Also, of course, their favorite toys!
A typical day
I will sculpt our day into whatever is best for your animal! If they are a calmer, low-energy pet, I always welcome snuggles and give lots of affection, or let them have their own time while making sure their daily needs are met. For higher-energy pets, I like to play games such as fetch and hide & seek and can keep my energy going until they are tired. Let me know what your pets’ favorite thing to do is and I will make it happen!

Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals since I was a pre-teen, but fell in love with animal care fully in my junior year of high school, after I began volunteering at the Everett Animal Shelter. Since then, I have changed positions and worked as a post-surgery volunteer with PAWS, transporting and handling anesthetized animals after they underwent surgeries. This summer I am also interning at PAWS again, this time as a Foster Care Intern, where I manage the entire foster care system behind the scenes. Additionally, I have worked with large animals such as horses while volunteering, dairy cattle, and pigs as my job on the side. I will continue to grow my portfolio, as I am a Pre-Vet Animal Science major at Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian one day.

Reviews

Aeries did really good watching over my dog and 2 cats. I will definitely be bringing her back next time I leave. She was very attentive and gave me updates (pictures) daily. 💚 Really great service!
Aeries has always loved animals, even since she was very little. One of her favorite toys as a youngster was a 'Vet Clinic' and she often set it up and played with it. Aeries has always been around cats and dogs at her home and with others in our family and is very comfortable with them (she has also had rats, birds and fish at various times). A few years ago on rainy weekends Aeries would sometimes scour our yard looking for snails, sometimes even naming them and playing with them before setting them free again. This year she has really enjoyed volunteering at the Everett Animal Shelter, and she often tells us about the cats and kittens she gets to care for. Aeries has a very soft heart towards all animals, and I know she would treat any animal she cared for in a very responsible and loving manner. - Lane E
