Availability
I am currently on summer break in my hometown (Everett) and have pretty open availability. I intern at paws from 8am-12pm on Sundays & Mondays, and 12-5pm on Thursdays, but other than that, I am free for walks, house sitting, or drop ins.

Pet safety is one of the most important factors in my work. Hygiene will be top notch to ensure the health of animals. I will wear gloves while cleaning so no chemicals or bacteria could possibly reach them. I have no pets of my own currently as an apartment-living college student, so I fill my love for them with work and volunteering with animals. Your pet will be taken care of well!

I will sculpt our day into whatever is best for your animal! If it is a calmer, low-energy pet, I typically like to have a play session (using a toy) and give lots of affection. Higher-energy pets love adventures, so walks and runs are great. I have a car so driving them to a dog park / trail would be easy and accessible. We could even go for pup-cups!
A typical day
I will sculpt our day into whatever is best for your animal! If it is a calmer, low-energy pet, I typically like to have a play session (using a toy) and give lots of affection. Higher-energy pets love adventures, so walks and runs are great. I have a car so driving them to a dog park / trail would be easy and accessible. We could even go for pup-cups!

Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals since I was a pre-teen, but fell in love with animal care fully in my junior year of high school, after I began volunteering at an animal shelter. Since then, I have changed positions and worked as a post-surgery volunteer with PAWS, transporting and handling anesthetized animals after they underwent surgeries. This summer I am also interning at PAWS again, this time as a Foster Care Intern, where I manage the entire foster care system behind the scenes. Additionally, I have worked with large animals such as horses while volunteering, dairy cattle management in college, and pigs as my job on the side. I will continue to grow my portfolio, as I am a Pre-Vet Animal Science major at Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian one day.

Reviews
Aeries has always loved animals, even since she was very little. One of her favorite toys as a youngster was a 'Vet Clinic' and she often set it up and played with it. Aeries has always been around cats and dogs at her home and with others in our family and is very comfortable with them (she has also had rats, birds and fish at various times). A few years ago on rainy weekends Aeries would sometimes scour our yard looking for snails, sometimes even naming them and playing with them before setting them free again. This year she has really enjoyed volunteering at the Everett Animal Shelter, and she often tells us about the cats and kittens she gets to care for. Aeries has a very soft heart towards all animals, and I know she would treat any animal she cared for in a very responsible and loving manner. - Lane E
