I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows pet care to be fully integrated into my daily routine. Dogs are rarely left alone and never for more than a few hours. If a dog has specific needs regarding alone time, I follow the owner’s instructions closely. My days naturally include multiple walks, playtime, rest, and regular interaction. Because my routine already revolves around my own dog, caring for a guest dog fits seamlessly into my lifestyle rather than being an occasional activity.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a house with access to many nearby walking paths and forests, offering both calm neighborhood walks and longer forest walks or hikes, depending on each dog’s needs. I only accept one guest dog at a time to ensure safety, focused care, and a low-stress environment. Dogs are supervised closely and included in daily life rather than left alone. Walks are adapted to the dog’s age, energy level, and routine. I prefer walking guest dogs together with my own dog, but I always follow the owner’s preference if separate walks are requested. In my home, dogs are allowed on one designated part of the sofa but not in the bed. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, routines, walking habits, and any medical needs. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your dog in someone else’s care, so clear communication is very important to me. I am happy to send regular updates, photos, and videos for reassurance. I communicate in English and am currently learning Swedish.

Information Adrienn B. would like to know about your pet

Before a stay, it is important for me to know about the dog’s daily routine, walking preferences, and feeding habits. I also ask owners to share information about leash behavior, interactions with other dogs, and any medical needs or medications. Knowing how long a dog can be left alone and any specific instructions helps me provide safe, consistent, and stress-free care.

A typical day

The day usually starts with a walk shortly after waking up, either in the nearby neighborhood or in the forest. If there are no special requests, I typically do a longer walk in the morning (45–60 minutes), another walk of similar length in the late afternoon, and a final bathroom break before bedtime. Between walks, dogs rest, and when they are awake, I include gentle playtime or mental stimulation based on their energy level. Activities are tailored to each dog’s needs and energy level and can include forest walks, neighborhood walks, playtime, and light mental stimulation. I enjoy giving dogs time to explore and sniff during walks, as well as short play or training moments at home. The goal is to keep dogs both physically active and mentally engaged while maintaining a calm, balanced routine.

Pet care experience

I have been around dogs since childhood, as my family always had dogs of different sizes. From an early age, I believed dogs should be a natural and close part of everyday family life, and should be treated as family members, which strongly influences how I care for dogs today. Six years ago, I adopted my own dog from a shelter. She is now a 7-year-old, medium-sized mixed breed (Border Collie–Schnauzer): energetic, playful, and very social with both people and other dogs. Living with her has given me daily, hands-on experience with an intelligent, active dog that needs structure, exercise, and engagement. I am comfortable caring for dogs older than one year, up to senior dogs. I have experience giving oral medication and have cared for a dog recovering from a broken leg. If a dog requires other types of medication, I am open to learning and following the owner’s instructions carefully. I am also comfortable with dogs that need attentive, structured walks, as I am used to staying aware of my surroundings during walks. I use positive reinforcement and have experience with basic obedience, leash manners, and maintaining consistent routines. I currently accept one guest dog at a time to ensure individual attention, safety, and a calm, predictable environment. For safety and comfort, I require a meet-and-greet before longer boarding stays, including an introduction to my own dog. A short doggy day care stay is then preferred to confirm compatibility before finalizing extended boarding.

Adrienn handles animals with the utmost care and attention. She looks after them with such loving dedication that I truly feel my dog couldn’t be in safer hands. When she takes care of my dog, there is no shortage of walks, playtime, or care. She regularly sent me videos and photos, so I always knew my dog was in good hands. Her dog is very friendly with other dogs, so getting them used to each other was not a problem at all. In addition, her home is very safe and well-kept, so I never had to worry about my dog for example eating something off the floor during his stay. The second time I brought my dog to her, he was very happy to see her, which clearly shows how well she treats him. I can only recommend her, she is extremely reliable.:)

Adrienn is very thoughtful about communication and expectations. She asks the right questions and takes owners' instructions seriously, which is somethin I value highly when it comes to dog care.
