Safety, trust & environment

I live in a 2 bedroom duplex with access to a large, unfenced, green space immediately behind. Your pet can have scheduled nap times in quiet area per your routine, or if they chose. There are paths with sidewalks in my community. There are several greenway entrances within a 5 minute drive, and I am familiar with them all. We walk most days. It's always playtime here!

Information Adriann B. would like to know about your pet

I love getting to know each and every pup or kitty. Prior to a first session, please let me know your pet's energy level (e.g., couch potato or working dog?), your pet's preferred energy outlet (e.g., mental or physical stimulation) and if your pet has no touch zones.

A typical day

Upon arrival, your pet will settle in and sniff! After introductory sniffs, we will burn some energy through mental and/or physical tasks. My home is equipped with mental games such as outward hound puzzles and snuffle mats. No day is complete without a walk, with duration dependent on your dogs' size and energy level. Naps or rest time occur afterwards, and then we will play with a variety of toys. I have toys (squeakers, tug, stuffies), but feel free to bring your own. I will be active in playtime and manage any resource guarding behaviors. Your pets will receive loads of affection, at their discretion, through the day.

Pet care experience

I grew up with dogs and am affiliated with KJB Kennels in Charlotte, NC. I had my first dog Annie for 13 years, and second, Daisy for 6. I've raised a puppy and am familiar with puppy developmental stages and house training. Further, I have 5 years experience with reactive dogs. I have studied positive reinforcement, trigger unstacking, and desensitization methods. FAQ’:❔ FAQ’:❔ * 💼 Do I need to bring anything? Please bring food, a sturdy collar/harness/leash set and your pet 😊. You may bring a blanket, a toy, or something which will remind your pet of home (optional). Bowls, poo bags, and treats are provided. If using anything other than peanut butter for medication administration, please bring that (e.g., pill pockets). * ⏰ How early can I drop off? Daycare and boarding begin at 7 AM. I gladly accommodate early morning drop offs, however a $25/30 minute fee will be applicable (e.g., 6 am drop off = $50 extra). * ⏰ How late can I pick up? Daycare ends at 7:30 PM. If you need to pick up later than that, please let me know, and we can work something out that fits our schedules. * 🌃 Do you offer evening daycare? Yes! Enjoy a night out from 7-11 pm at the regular rate. * 🏠 How long do you stay for house sittings, and what do you do? My house sittings are dinner-to-breakfast care (overnight). During that time, we will play, potty, eat, and take any medication necessary. Litter box changing is included. Please consider adding a drop in visit/walk if your pet would like mid day company ❤️ 🏡 What if my dog can’t be left alone during boarding? I currently WFH, so I’m normally always near. However, life happens. I may leave for 3-6 hours (gym, restaurant, outing, etc.) without impeding on food and medicine administration. If your pet cannot be left alone for 3-6 hours yet, I offer constant care services for an additional $48/day per household (boarding only). *please ensure your dogs’ collar or harness are snug. Only 2 fingers should be able to fit between their body and the device. If you can pull it off without unbuckling, your dog can escape

Adriann was very prompt with coordinating Poppy’s stay and we appreciated the photo and video updates. She took Poppy on plenty of walks and even to the dog park one day.
