Availability
I'm flexible, schedule is usually wide open except for a few appointments or photo shoots. I retired from the Army in 2016, basically now a stay at home mom to a teenage boy, who also loves pets. I try and stay home with my dogs as much as possible, but in my spare time I normally just volunteer at VFW Post 9516 and substitute at the local schools when needed.

Safety, trust & environment
My family and I have 4 acres of fenced in yard, (gate will have to be closed at driveway for dogs to roam freely) but I have a small front courtyard which I can keep small dogs inside, with artificial grass for them to potty on and an extra large crate to use when they're ready to nap indoors. My family and I have a super friendly 7-year old yellow lab named Gracie and an almost 2-yr old named Mama Spot.

Information Adelita M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs. For example, my dog has a paw injury, so I sew her little booties to help her heal faster. I can clean wounds, administer oral medication, and know basic first aid.
A typical day
We can go for walks in my backyard, which opens up to BLM land. I can do basic obedience training with them, and play however they like to play.

Pet care experience
A lifelong animal lover, I will love your pets just like you do! I can drop by your place for a doggie visit, so your dogs can be let outside mid-day, and I can take them out for a good long walk, let them sniff around, handle their business, burn a few calories. I can give snacks, feed and administer meds as instructed, even brush or snuggle with dogs and with kitties too, in your home or mine! I even pick up poop and clean litter boxes. ;) I volunteer with Stray Hearts and have completed Foster training, and walk dogs occasionally. I can sit dogs at my place too, I call it DD's Doggy DayCare. I'm located north of Questa in the small "town" of Cerro, close to the Wild Rivers Rio Grande del Norte National Monument.

Reviews

Lita was great with our dog! She sent several pictures of him enjoying his stay and playing with other dogs! We would definitely leave him with her again, she took really good care of him!

Adelita did a great job with our 3 dogs, and they are a handful! She sent a couple of updates and photos each day, she played with them, and even brushed them some. The house was just as I had left it, and the animals were all happy and healthy when we got home. This was our first time leaving them with a sitter, so I was nervous, but knowing she was taking such good care of them put me at ease. I would definitely book with her again!

Adelita was amazing with our pup! So kind and flexible and easy to communicate with.

Adelita was WONDERFUL with my kitty!! It was a last minute booking and wasn’t able to meet her before I left for my trip. She made sure to call me to make sure I was comfortable, and sent videos and photos each time she checked on her!! I came home to a very happy kitty :)
