Your Pet’s a Home Away From Home!
When you entrust your pet(s) with us, they will become a part of our family and receive all the love and care they deserve in your absence. My husband and I have always had cats and dogs (and birds and various rodents) of our own — we even fostered and rehabilitated rescue dogs for 5 years! And now, we've been professional petsitters since 2018! In the past, we've worked with many dogs, from pit bulls to beagles, that have had a range of behavioral issues preventing them from being adopted. We were able to correct their issues, train them, and rehome them all with success. So if you are working on training your dog, we can help you to continue that process. Who knows, they may even return home with a new trick or two! We also have had our own cats for many years in the past, and worked with various rodents, tortoises, birds, rabbits, chickens, etc. If you have an animal not listed, make a request for dogs and then message us for a customized quote for your animal 😉 We have a lot of experience administering oral medication (pills and liquids) and can do subcutaneous injections, such as insulin. Whatever your rules are with your pets in your own home, we will continue to follow with them in ours. If you allow them on furniture in your home, we will too. If not, we will help reinforce that by keeping them off ours as well. Our kids are 10 and 7 years old and love animals of all kinds and also understand how to be gentle with them. For in-home stays, your pet is guaranteed some playmates if that is something they enjoy! In 2022 we were gifted a dachshund puppy who was the offspring of a couple of our dog clients who have been coming to stay with us over the past three years. Then several months later, they gave us her baby brother. Their names are Lady and Miles, and they love to play with doggy friends big and small! So no matter what, your dogs will have friends to play with when they stay with us! We also offer drop-in visits if your pet prefers to stay in the comfort of your own home. We can feed, play, administer medication, go for a walk, or do whatever your pets need within a 30-minute period. We can even pick up poop or clean litter boxes, tidy up after them, water plants, or get your mail while you’re away! Please consider us to care for your fur babies when you are in need of some extra help, or a vacation, or just want them to receive some extra love! We promise you won’t be disappointed. Please read our reviews to see what other pet owners have said about their experience with us :) NOTE: We do not accept any intact males in our home at this time, unless they’ve successfully stayed with us in the past. They tend to mark frequently inside, even if they don’t normally do so at home, due to the scent of all the other dogs who’ve stayed with us. Thank you!

Safety, trust & environment
We treat every animal, furry or feathered, scaled, or shelled, as if they were part of our own family. We give them extra love because we know they are probably missing their home and we want them to feel like they are on vacation too! Our yard is fully fenced with a tall cinder block wall and our gate is reinforced with iron and it is kept locked so the latch cannot jiggle loose. There is no way to dig under it and we don’t leave the dogs outside alone except for quick potty breaks. We pre-screen all dogs for aggressive tendencies, food aggression, etc. before we accept a booking. If your dog has any of these issues or does not get along with other dogs, please be forthcoming so we can keep everyone safe. If your dog is just timid around other dogs, but not aggressive or reactive, we can work with that and help to socialize them with the other doggy friends.

Schedule
We make the dogs part of our family and allow them free run of the house. They help us wake up the kids and they play with them during the day. If we are working in our home office, the dogs are usually laying by our feet or on the nearby bed. For drop-ins we try to come within an hour of the requested time. If medications are required on a schedule, we will be there within 30 minutes the requested time at the latest. Typically Addie attends to the drop-in visits but Jeremiah will fill-in on occasion too and the kids typically do not attend unless it is a kid-friendly environment ;-)
