I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life. As a child, I looked after a beagle-terrier mix (a Jack-a-Bee) for four years, handling everything from walks to daily care. More recently, I moved to my sister’s home and have been caring for her two dogs for the past four months, discovering my true love for dog care. I’m not just a caregiver; I’m a playmate, companion, and friend. I also believe in positive, science-based training, and I’m currently taking dog behavior and positive reinforcement courses through Positively to expand my skills. If your dog needs someone who will keep them happy, engaged, and loved, I’ll be there for them.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your routines closely, respect your space, and make sure your pets feel safe and comfortable. I always provide plenty of playtime, gentle care, and affection, while keeping an eye on their well-being. Your pet’s happiness and security are my top priorities.

We couldn't be happier with the care Adara provided during our extended family trip. She took outstanding care of Maximus (our German Shepherd) and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. In addition to providing excellent care for Maximus, she handled a variety of dog and house-specific chores/activities, along with several extra requests. Our home was exactly as we left it; clean, organized, and well cared for. It was clear throughout our trip that Maximus was receiving plenty of attention and affection. We returned to a happy, healthy dog and a home that had been looked after with the same care we would have given it ourselves. We truly appreciate Adara’s professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and caring Rover sitter.

Adara was fantastic. She exceeded expectations. She was conscientious and patient with my old lady (My 16 YO Chihuahua) and spent valuable time attending to her. She followed every instruction I asked of her and maintained excellent communication while I was away. Including pics which was very reassuring. She took great care of my house and, if I’m honest, left it cleaner than when I left. Heck, she even brought in my mail! I can’t recommend her enough and I will absolutely hire her next time I’m away or need help.
Adara did a wonderful job house and dog sitting for us for 12 days! Our pups were well loved and taken care of, one of which takes medication 2x a day. The house was very clean, she really went the extra mile. I highly recommend her, just don't try to steal her from us!

Schedule
I’m available most weekdays and weekends, so your pet can get consistent care and attention. I’m happy to adapt to your schedule and make sure your furry friend feels loved and looked after. Please note that I typically do not accept same-day requests unless we’ve worked together before, as I like to ensure I have adequate time to prepare and provide the best care possible. I’m generally available year-round, with the exception of holidays, though you’re always welcome to reach out to check my availability.

- To give your pet the best care possible, I like to know any special needs or preferences ahead of time. This can include their feeding schedule, portion sizes, and any dietary restrictions; medical conditions or medications; favorite types of play and exercise; temperament with people, other dogs, or pets; any fears or anxieties; and even small comforts like favorite toys, blankets, or treats. Knowing these details helps me make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.
