Pet care experience

Pet lovers want new friends!

Hello and thank you for checking us out. My wife and I are professionals who have grown up with cats, dogs, fish, and various other animals throughout our childhood and adult life. We are looking to bring the warmth of animals into our home while our daughter is learning and growing. We have fostered many dogs and I volunteer with a rescue when time allows. We are conveniently located right off of 696 and Woodward (Across from the Zoo). We currently do not have any dogs in the house as they passed recently, Lily(Dec '22) and Guinness (Nov '21). While we have lost our 4-footed family members, we have also added a two-footed family member(see pictures). Dogs must be good with other dogs and small children; our daughter was born 03/2022 (currently 14 months as of update). We do allow for two dogs at the same time as that is what we are accustomed to, and if we have another dog I'll make sure to let you know to make sure you are comfortable with that.

Adam is fantastic! Our dog loves going to his house and is always so well taken care of by some of the kindest people you'll meet. We appreciate having them in our world for our aging pup.

Adam is the best! Our dog Buddy loves Adam. His tail goes crazy when he is walking up to Adam’s house. It’s a dead give away. I highly recommend

Thank you again for taking care of Theo on such short notice. Adam was very helpful, prompt with communication and kept me updated throughout the day. Theo clearly had a blast and was very happy!

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fully fenced yard, toys, and live near downtown Royal oak where we walk nearly every day at least one time, weather permitting.

A typical day

Your pup will wake up at their leisure, eat a tasty breakfast and then spend the day relaxing, getting belly, neck, and butt scratches with at least one 1-3 mile walk(or less for older dogs) into downtown Royal oak. Come back to a fresh bowl of water and even more pets. We will play and run around in the back yard and your pup will get to hang out patently in front of our daughter's high chair waiting for a tasty green bean or sweet potato treat. ?

No females in heat
Adam can host up to 2 pets per night
Due to the configuration of our metal fence, we cannot accept any dogs smaller than 15lbs unless they are elder(don't like to run) or would rather be held or on a leash when going outside for potty breaks. Dogs must be potty trained as well. I would appreciate a form written or typed with information that is important to you and your dog, such as feeding schedule, any medications and their schedule, local emergency contacts, your vet and anything that you think I should know... Like leash or food aggressiveness or things to watch for.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
