Pet care experience

We're dog people w/ a fenced yard.

My wife and I grew up with labs and Rhodesian Ridgebacks (respectively). We currently have a female Rhodesian/Lab mix named Luna Pearl and she’s super sweet and always excited to play. We are caring dog owners and caretakers and we love happy dogs. For Luna, this absolutely means daily exercise, whether it's a walk, playing in the backyard, or trips to the dog park. And of course, lots of belly rubs and silliness so she knows she’s loved! The same goes for pups we sit! During the week we both work full-time (about 8:30-5), we currently have our kitchen set up as the main hang out area for the day and we have a "large" sized dog door (approximately up to 90lbs) so there's easy access to the back yard, which is fenced in. We are also around much more, running errands throughout the day, and the house is open to roam. (Update: Right now and for the foreseeable future with COVID-- we are both working from home! So, that means more time to play with miss Luna and any friends of hers from Rover!) Whether your dog is chill or a bit hyper, we can handle it and Luna wouldn't mind either way. Let's set up a meet and greet if you need a boarder for your pup! (Update: Right now and for the foreseeable future we are both working from home due to COVID!) We both work full time, but our offices are within 5 minutes of the house and we often stop by at lunch-time to check on our pup. We also occasionally work from home. We have a cute 2 bedroom house with lots of dog toys and most importantly a fenced-in back yard. Our kitchen door has a doggy door that Luna uses during the day to go to and from the back yard. We usually close off the kitchen while we're at work, so Luna can stay inside if she wants or go outside to the back yard, but she's not allowed to roam around the house while we're not there (she'll chew!) We take her on short runs often and also go to the dog park at least a few times per week, and of course we love to play with her in the backyard while we're home!

Adam and Tory are great! Very communicative and sent lots of photos. My pup was happy and tired after a day of playing with their dog Luna.

Victoria, Adam and their doggy Luna were amazing hosts. Very flexible with drop off and pick up times and communicated very well. My Rhodesian Ridgeback pup had a great time.

A typical day

We love both the Midtown Dog Park and the smaller, but super friendly, Deep Deuce Dog Park. We go to one of those at least once per week with our high-energy pup, Luna.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
Unspayed females accepted, neutered males only
No females in heat
Takes only 1 client at a time
Adam & Victoria can host up to 1 pet per night
We'd like to know if they are baby/toddler friendly (we have a young child) and a bit about their temperament, such as: are they generally high-energy or low, do they get aggressive over anything, how are they with other dogs, etc.? Also, how do they interact with other people and children? Whether we're at a dog park or walking in public, we want to understand how to handle the dog with other pups and/or people so everyone can stay happy and safe!
