The Golden Retriever Retreat 🐾
We are a military family who started watching dogs while we were stationed in San Diego for the past 4 years & our two golden retrievers really enjoyed the play time. We eventually paused rover as we moved back home to VB. Now that we’re back home in VB and settled in, we’re ready to hang with your pups! We have experience with large breeds & have always grown up with animals in the home. We ask that you do not request us if your dog is reactive/nervous when approached by another dog, Buddy & chewy get very excited to meet new friends and love to play and give kisses. Our home is on half an acre and fully fenced in where the dogs love to play fetch and chase squirrels in. We are just a short 10 minute drive from Sandbridge for all our vacationing families that want a peace of mind knowing their pup is right up the road.

I'l admit I was very nervous leaving my dog Crosby, mainly because I never leave him and he's always with me. However a meet and greet with Adam put my mind at ease. A true family (home away from home) experience for your dog. They sent me pictures every day of Crosby's adventures and I had no doubt that between the kids and their other dogs he was being cared for and entertained. I would absolutely recommend Adam and his family for future dog parents looking for a sitter.
We drove down from NY with our pup to stay with Adam and his family while we vacationed in Sandbridge. Adam was great with communicating and following my dogs eating regiment 😬 It was comforting knowing that he was in great care while we were away. Will definitely be booking with Adam again next summer!
Adam and his family were great and easy to work with. We have a nervous rescue doodle and a stubborn although cute Boykin Spaniel. They came home happy and tired! They have a nice backyard and two retrievers to play with!
Adam and his family took great care of Pepper! Pepper must have had a great time since he has been happy and tired since we brought him back home :-) We appreciated the pictures and updates. Thank you!
Outstanding! Adam helped out in a pinch and he took great care of my baby girl. She was well cared for during my trip and we got daily pictures and updates on how she was doing. Definitely plan to rebook later on my next trip.
Adam and his family did an amazing job taking care of Theo. It was clear how much they love their own dogs and welcomed Theo like one of their own. He came home happy and totally worn out from all the playtime. We’d absolutely recommend them!

Harmonogram
We live a busy, active lifestyle with 3 kids & our 2 dogs. All dogs in the house are treated like family & get cuddles and fun with us! My wife works from home so there will always be an adult present throughout the stay.

Our dogs may be lazy but he will never turn down the chance to play fetch or go on walks with a new dog friend! We have baby gates for separate feedings.

I will introduce them to my dogs and let them run around in the backyard for some exercise. I will play fetch and go on walks with them (if requested). Most dogs are usually wore out by bedtime from playing outback with our pups & hop on the couch with us after dinner for some cuddles.
