Our puppy hadn't spent much time away from home when he stayed with Adam and Emira so was a bit nervous but they were very relaxed and took special care to make sure he felt comfortable. Got great updates telling us what had been going on and sent a lovely video. Would definitely use them again

This is the fourth time we’ve booked with Adam and Emira. Again Gizmo was looked after with love and care. Messages are responded to quickly and we get lots of lovely videos and pictures. We cannot recommend this family highly enough.

Rupert had a great time and enjoyed his time with all his doggy friends. Other then our lead being given to another owner it was a great placement.

We were unfortunately very disappointed with this lodging of our dog Murray. We do not believe the profile truely reflects the living conditions to be provided. We expected the sitters would have thier own dog and ours, we were surprised to find when dropping off, that they were to have 4 additional dogs also. We had little choise at that stage as we were on route to Heathrow Airport. My concern being that this was a back to back terrace with a small yard, our lodging was 12th to 16th August, the 12th to 14th being some of the hottest days ever recorded in Leeds and this would be a cramped situation, especially given the heat. We left very worried and anxious, but decided to trust the many hundreds of great reviews and the star rating together with Rovers vetting process. We didnt meat Emira, she didnt come out to meet us, we were not invited in, the two other dog guests were in the yard, whilst we tried to demonstrate Murray's feeding routine making the already difficult process of dropping off, even more challenging, only on asking Adam to move the other dogs into the house, did he do so and we continued to provide the necessary drop off information, including medication. Murray had been sick for some weeks prior to this lodging, we made Adam aware of all this when arranging the booking. He at no point, advised us that they have a relatively small house with a very small yard, and that they were to lodge an additional 4 dogs over the full same period (not even part of). Given the exceptional weather conditions and Murray needing extra care and attention, but most importantly, space to rest and not be disrupted by 5 other dogs, we absolutely would have made other arrangements. On leaving Murray and saying goodby, I told Adam that we were very worried about him, he was treated by me as our son, not just a dog hence choosing to leave him with a star rated family lodging, where he has as similar experience to our home, space, love, attention and care, and we left to fly to Canada for a week. I messaged Adam, 2 hours later, checking if Murray had settled and letting him know that I had the Rover app and could happily receive regular videos, and only then did I get a 12 second video of Murray and the other dogs in their small yard, with a short message saying, he is playing with the other dogs. I heard nothing again.I was expecting to receive some updates, videos of him on walks, playing, or resting, relxing or sleeping or message updates on his health. Only upon me messaging Adam 26 hours later on the Thursday, (the hottest day) stressing my concern for Murray and hot weather, not being a big water drinker and needing to be encouraged, did i get a 3 second video of Murray in a living room, panting as he does when distressed or hot. This was supported by a a message reading 'Hi, all good, they are chilling inside, fan on.' Again with no contact and another 24 hours later, again promoted by me, i get a slightly more acceptable update on how he is on walks. followed by a 14 second video, again of Murray in the same Yard. Knowing the weather cooled down from the Friday and also knowing that our friend was to collect Murray on the Sunday to complete his lodging at home (as was always the plan) i did not contact Adam again and disappointedly, I received no further update or video from Adam. I have received worrying feedback from our friend of the conditions when Murray was collected on Sunday which confirmed my fears. I feel we were let down hugely by Adam who left is completely in the dark during Murray's lodging. But worse than that was not giving us the option to provide more comfortable lodgings where care for dogs and providing the best environment for them, is more important than taking the maximum number of dogs possible, despite having less than appropriate lodgings for that number of dog guests. The lack of understanding and care for us as anxious and worried owners, to provide any level of satisfactory updates given, Murray's additional needs due to health, the exceptional weather conditions with heat at 35 degrees celcius, is not acceptable. What we got, when promoted, was equally unacceptable. We have not heard from Adam or Amira even after Murray was collected to advise the collection had gone to plan. nothing. I will be putting in a complaint to Rover also on this. Shaz Khan

Adam did a very good job looking after Odin despite his old age and infirmities, that Odin not Adam. We know he takes some looking after and we were very happy with the services he provided
