I am currently a high school teacher. I have plenty of time most days after school to walk and watch dogs. I also have major holidays and summers mostly free.

I take my dog Rosie on walks two to three times a day. I make sure she is fed and constantly has water in her bowl. I also make sure she receives any medications she may need. Two years ago she had to have surgery on her leg. I learned how to take care of her and walk her with a sling. When my neighbors go out of town, I help them with their dogs. I will let them out in the yard, make sure they do all of their business, and play with them so they are mentally stimulated. I also make sure to follow all schedules they provide for me.

Before I take care of anyone’s pets I like to know all schedules such as walking, feeding, and medication schedules. I also like to know how the dog is on a leash or if they have secret ways of escaping back yards, rooms, or kennels. I also like to know any emergency information and where the nearest/preferred emergency veterinarian is. If at all possible, I also would like to meet the dog with the owners before I am left alone with them.

When I watch dogs I take them on plenty of walks and play with them with their favorite toys. I have a dog car hammock and seatbelt system in my car so if the owner wants me to take the dog to the park or the lake I can do that as well. I also love to play fetch with dogs in secure fenced in locations.

I have had a family dog since I was 11. I currently have a GSD/Beagle rescue named Rosie who is 10 years old. I have watched family and friends dogs many times. I also help walk and baby sit dogs in my area for people who need it.
