Dog dad with a fenced-in backyard
I grew up with dogs, most often collies, and I couldn’t wait to get a house because then I could finally get a dog. In college I adopted a cat who stayed with me for more than 14 years before crossing the Rainbow Bridge. I have spent 14+ years taking care of my cat and innumerable years caring for dogs, earning the nickname “dogstealer” because of how quickly I earn the affection of other people’s dogs.

Highly recommend Adam! He provides updates throughout the stay and his dog gets along great with my husky and golden retriever. My dogs love coming to his house for stays! They learned how to use the dog door to his fenced in backyard right away and make themselves right at home. Adam has been a consistent Rover for 3 years now for my dogs. Magnus had another great stay with Adam! He is right at home there and gets excited when I get his overnight stuff together. He comes home happy and exhausted from playing with Indy and doggy friends. It makes our vacations more relaxing, knowing Magnus is also having a great time.

Adam is terrific! He and his dog Indy are so welcoming. The minute we arrive my dog runs in and never turns back! I feel so reassured that Zeke will be treated wonderfully.

Schedule
Living with a dog and having lived with a cat there’s hardly a moment where I’m not caring for them. I brush them almost daily, feed them high quality food, making sure they’re engaged and kept mentally and physically active.

My backyard is walled in with a 6-foot high cement block wall and a sturdy wooden gate with minimal clearance underneath. I have a doggie door that leads from the house to the backyard for constant access. My house is dog- and cat-proofed since I have had one of each. I live around the corner from a veterinarian should any need arise.

A typical day
I have a large backyard and a doggie door so the dogs can transition their play to the outside if they get the zoomies. If requested I can also take them for a walk if you’d like.

- Please let me know if your dogs resource guard or are food aggressive so that I can take preventative measures to make sure it’s not an issue. Also, please let me know if your dog is spooked by loud noises such as thunder or fireworks. There are times of the year when these are more common and if I know ahead of time I can calm them down or request any medication you may have for their visit with me.
