Hello, we adopted a dog in 2017. Acacia was a teenager and agreed to help take care of Super Dog. She was responsible for walks, feedings, freshening the water bowl, grooming, etc. She did a fantastic job. She did not require reminders and if she was not going to be able to do something she made sure to find a backup. She is very patient, loving, and caring. She also had fish and guinea pigs as a child. It was her job to clean the guinea pigs cage every week. And that was a task and a half. She played with the guinea pigs regularly. She fed and watered them as well. Super Dog requires a bit of extra attention in that he is not the most friendly dog. Acacia has learned how to win him over and how to control him so that no one gets hurt. Acacia took horseback riding lessons at a very young age. She learned how to care for the horse and the amount of work they need before and after any ride. Acacia is very responsible and good with children as well. Ever since she was 12 she's baby sat, been a summer camp counselor, watched kids a church, etc. She has done a lot with special needs children as well. She is a certified lifeguard and spends time in the pool with special needs kids. This experience along with being a house fellow on the UW Madison campus for 2 years has proven that she is responsible and good at caring for others (others being any living thing ... even plants). :) I strongly recommend Acacia for any pet sitting need you may have.

Let me know if your pet has special needs or behaviors that I should be aware of. I am comfortable administering oral medication and am willing to learn to administer injectables. Please make me aware of especially high-energy pets or those that require frequent interaction.
