Safety, trust & environment

🏡 A safe, secure, and relaxed environment My home is spacious and set up to give dogs a calm, safe place to settle in and feel comfortable. The garden is fully secure with 7ft fencing and a locked gate, so dogs can enjoy outdoor time safely. I live on a quiet, secluded street away from main roads, creating a peaceful environment that’s ideal for dogs of all temperaments. The garden is a great size for all breeds, with plenty of room to play, explore, and enjoy a good run around. Large patio doors open directly onto the garden, allowing dogs to move freely between inside and outside when appropriate. They can also be closed to create a calm, cosy space for rest and nap times. Inside, the home is open-plan with plenty of room to relax, along with soft furnishings and lots of toys to keep dogs happy and entertained. For added safety, all human food is kept well out of reach, so you can feel confident your dog is in a secure and carefully managed environment.

Information Abigail T. would like to know about your pet

🐾 Getting to know your dog Please let me know about your dog’s personality and any behaviours I should be aware of — for example if they can be a little anxious, reactive, or need extra reassurance. This helps me understand what’s normal for them so I can spot any changes and care for them in the best way possible. I’d also love to know your dog’s usual sleeping routine. Whether they’re used to having their own space, staying in a certain area, or even enjoying a cuddle in bed, I’m very happy to follow whatever they’re comfortable with to help them feel at home. Finally, please let me know about treats — what they’re allowed, how often they usually have them, and any dietary preferences or restrictions. I’ll always stick closely to your routine.

A typical day

🐾 A typical day with me I’m a very active person and love being outdoors, so dogs in my care can expect plenty of fresh air, exercise, and variety. Walks are usually around 5k or longer, depending on your dog’s needs, and we head out whatever the weather (safely and sensibly, of course!). I always tailor each day to the individual dog — whether that’s longer walks for high-energy breeds, or shorter, gentler outings for puppies, smaller dogs, or seniors. We enjoy a mix of beautiful walks, from beaches and woodland trails to peaceful river paths, giving your dog lots of new sights, smells, and enrichment. If the weather isn’t on our side, there’s still plenty to keep dogs happy indoors — toys, games, and interaction to keep them mentally stimulated. And of course, there’s always time for some cosy sofa cuddles and a well-earned rest. I also have access to a secure, fully enclosed dog field where dogs can safely run off lead and enjoy a good play. If your dog is happy socialising, this can be a great option for them to burn off energy and have fun.

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Abigail! 🐾 After six years as a police officer, I decided to give up the uniform and follow my passion for dogs, the outdoors, and providing a safe, trustworthy service for pet owners. I provide a calm, secure, and welcoming home where your dog will feel completely at ease. Your dog/s will have constant care, attention, and plenty of affection throughout their stay. I’m home full-time, so your dog’s routine, safety, and happiness are always my priority. I have a large, fully secure garden with 7ft fencing and a locked gate, giving dogs plenty of space to play, explore, and enjoy themselves safely. I share my home with my friendly Irish Setter, Rory, who is gentle, playful, and great with other dogs. He loves company and helps create a relaxed, social environment for visiting dogs. I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages — from young puppies to senior dogs — and I’m confident supporting different needs, routines, and personalities. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a quieter, slower pace, I will adapt to them. I come from a professional background where trust, responsibility, and safety were essential, and I bring that same level of care and attention into looking after every dog. 🐾 What you can expect: * A home-from-home environment * Dogs are never left alone * Secure garden for safe outdoor time * Walks tailored to your dog (on or off lead) * Regular updates, photos, and communication * Flexible and attentive care to suit your dog’s routine I’m very mindful that every dog is different, so I will always follow your instructions closely — from feeding and walking to sleep routines and preferences. I’m happy to care for dogs who may be a little anxious or need extra reassurance — just let me know what helps them feel comfortable. We look forward to welcoming your dog into our home and giving you complete peace of mind ✨

Abigail looked after our dog for us while we were on holiday and he had the best staycation with her and her dog. We felt reassured he was having the comforts of a home away from home and were kept up updated with photos during his time there. Would definitely recommend Abigail she has a passion for dogs and our dog Reggie settled very quickly with her in her home! Abigail was brilliant and accommodating particularly as Reggie needed some extra care whilst he was recovering from a recent operation.

Yana had a lovely time staying with Abigail and pals over the weekend. Abigail kept us regularly updated and sent lots of lovely photos on their walks in the field. She even gave a handwrten staycation report card when we came to collect her too! Such a lovely personal touch. Would definitely recommend!

Cannot recommend Abi enough. Our boy had the absolute best time with her and Rory and Abi kept us updated and sent over lots of pictures and videos. She also gave us the cutest little 'staycation' card from his visit including a little pawprint. Thank you so much Abi 💙
