When caring for a pet in an owner’s home, my first priority is maintaining a safe, calm, and familiar environment. I understand that pets feel most comfortable in their own space, so I make every effort to follow the owner’s routine closely — including feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, and any special instructions. Consistency helps reduce stress and keeps the pet feeling secure. I always ensure doors, gates, and windows are securely closed to prevent escapes, and I double-check locks before leaving the home. I keep harmful items such as cleaning products, small objects, or unsafe foods out of reach. During walks or outdoor time, I stay alert to surroundings and use secure leashes or harnesses as instructed. Cleanliness is also very important. I regularly clean food and water bowls, refresh water daily, and keep litter boxes or living areas tidy. This helps prevent illness and keeps the home environment healthy for the pet. I pay close attention to the pet’s behavior, appetite, and energy levels to quickly notice any changes that could signal stress or health concerns. If I observe anything unusual, I communicate promptly with the owner. Above all, I treat the owner’s home with respect and their pet with patience, kindness, and responsibility. My goal is to make the pet feel comfortable and cared for while giving the owner peace of mind knowing their home and companion are in safe, trustworthy hands.

I contacted Abby on Rover due to a very last-minute cancellation from another dog sitter, and she was incredibly reassuring and more than happy to help. I’m usually very sceptical about who I leave Tommy with due to his dog reactivity, and I made her aware of this beforehand—she came across as very experienced, understanding, and confident in handling his needs. She took Tommy to some beautiful places and was extremely respectful of my request to keep a safe distance between him and other dogs, which meant a lot to me. She kept me regularly updated, was always easy to contact, and clearly put a lot of care and attention into looking after him. It’s such a weight off my shoulders knowing I’ve found someone so capable and trustworthy who understands Tommy’s needs. I’ll definitely be using her again in the future!
Abigail came for a one off pop in visit. She bonded well with the hounds and was very affectionate towards them. She was punctual and good at responding to instructions. I would definitely book her again.
I have used this service for a year now and I highly recommend, polite, punctual and goes above and beyond for my pooch, lots of walks and pictures for reassurance, even recommended the food I now use for my dog Macy ! Will continue to use for another year, great price to !

I honestly couldn’t recommend her more. I’ve got two cats and a dog, and leaving them when I go away is usually stressful, but I felt completely at ease knowing they were in her care. She looked after them while I was on holiday and kept me updated with pictures which made such a difference. When I got home, all three were relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious they’d had lots of attention, love, and proper routines kept. She’s calm, reliable, and really understands animals, which shows in how comfortable they are around her. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with my pets again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker or pet carer. I also really recommend getting professional pictures done through her. Where else can you go that you can get professional photos done and amazing animal care 😍

I have a very flexible schedule so please feel free to book on any day of the week and I will do my best to fit your fury friend in for walks, day care or over night stays!
