Pet care fits for me because I am retired, and I have a lot of time to give. I have a lot of love to give, focused time, energy, all the fun and adventures of having a pet(s), without the long term responsibilitys of vet appointments etc. It's like being a grandma, all the fun, little responsibility. I live in Alameda in a quiet building on a quiet street. Puppies have loved my yard, and senior dogs have loved my quiet home. My apartment is only about 450 square feet, big enough for the smaller pets.

I have a fenced yard, a lot of beautiful paths to walk in Alameda CA. If a pet needs more than the 450 sq. ft. than my apartment will be too small, but willing to go to ur home. I'm willing to be in the pets space.

Information Abigail S. would like to know about your pet
Important things to know about ur pets are thier fears (ie a vacuum cleaner etc ) and there joys (favorite toy.) How far can they walk due to age or possible injury etc. Please bring the pets particular food so no one has an upset tummy after eating.
A typical day
Walking various paths so each time we walk there is a lot of variety. Usually I do not go to dog parks, but there are 2 near me, but usually I walk on any of the various paths around here. Dog parks can at times be a lot of sensory overload especially if going with a caretaker as opposed to a family member.

Pet care experience
I have owned and have been trusted to take care of pets for neighbors, friends, and family since I was a teenager. Animals love me and I adore them. I no longer have any pets, and I'm retired right now which means I'm home almost all the time. I have the time to care, play, walk, feed, or administer any required medication. I have had high energy dogs who require several long walks, on the many beautiful trails near me. I live in a quiet 450 square foot apartment with a lovely small backyard garden for dogs to meander awhile. My home in my quiet Alameda neighborhood is perfect for senior dogs to relax in. I'm familiar with a variety of medical issues to administering syrup orally, pills crushed in a treat or shots at the nape of the neck for diabetic pets. I have a lot of experience with animals with medical issues . Let's meet and see if it's a good fit.

Reviews

I am so grateful that Abigail took care of my needy senior Chihuahua while I was traveling. Abigail sent me many wonderful pictures of my dog so I didn’t have to worry. I highly recommend Abigail who will give your dog amazing 1:1 care!

Abby is a communicator and keeps you up to date. Not super happy with my dog being in a grass filled with foxtails, but Abby was receptive to the feedback and has a kind demeanor.

Aby is fantastic! She took very good care of my dog, Nemo, while I was on vacation and sent plenty of updates throughout the stay. Nemo really enjoyed his time there and looked very happy. I look forward to many future stays with Aby!

Abigail was great, excellent communication, friendly and professional service.
