Availability
My schedule is very flexible, which means I’m able to offer daytime, evening, and overnight care depending on your pet’s needs. My work is home-based, so I can spend plenty of quality time with pets and keep them company throughout the day. It’s very easy for me to build pet care into my routine (and it’s something I love!), whether that’s going for walks, keeping to feeding schedules, or simply making sure your pet feels safe, settled, and cared for while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment
I’m unable to host pets due to my boyfriend’s cat needing a calm environment and being anxious around other animals. However I’m more than happy to provide care in your home through drop-in’s, walks, overnight stays, or longer house sitting commitments. Having cared for pets in friends’ and family members’ homes, I always treat both pets and homes with the utmost care and respect — leaving everything as I found it and following any instructions closely. I know every pet is different, so I’d always ask that owners please let me know about routines, behaviours, needs, or anything else important prior to care beginning. My priority is your pet and making sure they’re comfortable, safe, and well looked after in their home.

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Abi and I’m a reliable animal lover who enjoys spending time with animals of all shapes and sizes! I’m lucky to have grown up with family who lived in the countryside. My Grandparents lived on a farm, where my Grandad was a gamekeeper, so I’ve spent many years around working dogs, puppies, and senior dogs. At this point in my life, I’d love nothing more than to have my own dog but for now I live vicariously through other people’s furry friends! So I really value any opportunity to spend time with them — whether that’s taking them on a long walk to burn their energy off, a lazy afternoon horizontal on the sofa, or a cold drink in a beer garden with some gravely bones (for the dog not for me!) I’ve frequently looked after friends and family’s cats while they’ve gone away, and as a cat owner myself I understand the importance of feeling reassured that your cat is in safe, loving hands. I’ll always treat your pet as if they are my own! There’s nothing more rewarding than gaining a cat’s love and trust. At home, I have my own cat, Bailey, who’s nearly 15! I’ve had him since he was a kitten living and roaming on a farm. So I’m very experienced with cats of all ages and their individual personalities and needs. While I don’t drive, I love getting out and walking regularly, so I’m always happy to travel to you by foot or public transport. It also means your dog will get plenty of fresh air and enjoyable walks as part of our time together!

Reviews

Abigail was great, really calm and kind to my cavapoo Ruby and when I came home Ruby was really happy and relaxed. She was taken on a long walk and even bought a ball to play with! Thank you so much for taking such good care of Ruby and we would have no hesitations in recommending Abigail. Thank you! Xx
Abi has on many an occasion looked after my little cat and is exceedingly loving and friendly to all animals. Abi has a very quiet calm and responsible nature. She has a cat of her own and loves nothing more to visit the RSPCA to check in on the residents to say hello. I can honestly say she would be an assett to anyone wanting a reliable, trustworthy pet sitter.

Abi would be a great pet sitter simply for the reason that I have never met someone love or care for pets like she does! No matter where we seem to go she has a keen eye for spotting dogs and cats and wanting to go over and meet them. We even recently took a trip on holiday to Tunisia, to which she took over a pack of cat treats to give to all the strays she encountered! Abi also is the first person to go to the treat jar for my friend’s cocker spaniel when in a social setting, and always the one to pick her up and put her on her knee so she can sit and relax! Also she is often the first to raise her hand when my brother needs a hand in pet sitting his dog Skye! Whether this be taking her on a big walk! Or just going to give her company while my brother is away for a long period of the day!
