Safety, trust & environment

I'm happy to care for your dog in your home, especially for larger breeds, as I live in a one-bedroom flat. Caring for your dog in their familiar environment can also help them feel more relaxed and comfortable while you're away. Your dog's safety, wellbeing, and routine will always be my top priorities. I'll take the time to understand their individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise, medication (if required), favourite walking routes, and any behavioural quirks or preferences. I always follow your instructions carefully to ensure your dog feels safe, happy, and cared for. I'm also happy to discuss your dog's specific needs beforehand so we can make sure they're receiving the best possible care while you're away.

Pet care experience

I've been around animals for as long as I can remember and have had a variety of pets since I was a young child. I have experience dog sitting for dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes and personalities, so I'm confident adapting my care to each dog's individual needs. I understand that every dog is different, and I'm always happy to go the extra mile to make sure your pup feels safe, comfortable and loved while they're with me. Growing up, I had a Lurcher, an English Bull Terrier, and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, which gave me experience with very different temperaments and energy levels. Since then, I've regularly looked after many other breeds and have become comfortable caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, routines, and requirements. I'm patient, understanding and affectionate. I'm confident handling different temperaments. Whether your dog loves long walks, lots of playtime, or simply wants someone calm to keep them company, I'll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve.

We have trusted Abigail with the care of our dog on several occasions when we have been abroad. He adores her, and was wonderfully looked after, with walks, lots of cuddles and plenty of attention. Abigail loves all animals - but especially dogs - and would do a magnificent job for anyone. She is conscientious, quick to engage with communication, and an all round super person. We had several photos and video clips sent while we were away so we could see how he was doing. Your pet will be brilliantly cared for.
