Availability
I currently work part-time Monday through Thursday, which gives me plenty of availability in the mornings (anytime before 2 PM) to care for your pets and meet their needs. I live in Columbia and work in Spring Hill, allowing me to be flexible in both areas. I am also fully available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

I absolutely love going on walks, hikes, and outdoor adventures, so I’m well-prepared to give higher-energy dogs the exercise they need—whether it’s a longer walk, a run, or some playtime outdoors. I used to have a Husky that I regularly took on 6-mile runs around my neighborhood lake, so I’m experienced with active dogs who need a lot of movement. I’m not afraid to get a little messy or give a pup a bath after a day of fun, and I always prioritize creating a safe, trusting environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m happy to be an adventure buddy while making sure your furry friend stays happy, healthy, and safe.

A typical day
Some of my favorite activities with pets include going to the dog park or taking them on a hike—these are at the top of my list! Playing fetch is a close second, and I always love interactive playtime that keeps dogs active and happy. For cats, we can enjoy some quality indoor fun, like a little catnip play or bird watching from a sunny window. I make sure every pet I care for has activities tailored to their energy level and personality so they stay happy, stimulated, and loved throughout the day.

Hi! My name is Abigail, but I go by Abby, and I’m 21 years old. I’m new to Rover, but I’ve been pet sitting since I was about 10 years old. I’ve always had a love for animals—there isn’t a single one I don’t like! I have experience with a wide range of dog breeds, from Great Danes to Toy Poodles. I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets at once (anywhere from 1–5 dogs), as I did this regularly when I pet sat full-time in the past. So if you have multiple pets, you can feel confident they’ll be well taken care of. I currently have quite a few pets of my own: 2 cats, a ball python, 2 guinea pigs, 2 rats, a crested gecko, a tarantula, a hamster, and a bunny. Because of this, there really isn’t any type of animal I’m afraid of or uncomfortable caring for. I also have hands-on, blue-collar experience and have worked on about five different farms over the years while moving from state to state, which has given me even more experience caring for animals of all kinds.

I’m really hoping my other review went through for Abby as well, because this is the second time I used her. I rebooked because she was just so great and went absolutely above and beyond! My cat loves her!! He normally takes a minute to warm up, yet with her, he was curled up on her lap within 2 days! She is so good! Will definitely be using her every time I need someone. Thankful that I found her and chose her for the original stay! Thanks Abby!!

Abigail was awesome!!!! She did 2 drop in visits a day for a week for my cat and he loved her. He usually takes a little bit to warm up to someone, but by day 2 or 3 he was curled up on her lap in a photo she sent. What a relief! So happy I chose her. She also made sure to visit first, before she accepted, which I couldn’t have been happier about. This way she got to meet me and my cat and get the lay of the land with where everything was. Not everyone on Rover offers that, that’s for sure. She even went above and beyond. I realized that after I left my front door lock was losing power, I was so nervous it was going to go out and there would be no way for her to get in before the week was up, so I told her where everything was and asked if she can change the batteries and she did it immediately. She did such a great job all around! I’ll definitely use her again.
Abigail has been amazing at communication and letting us know how Baxter is doing and what he has been doing everyday. I really like how well Baxter also enjoys her company as well.
