Your Dog's Second Best Friend
I've taken care of dogs for over twenty years. I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, and hamsters. After graduating from high school, I managed a dog hotel for three years while going to nursing school. My friends and family have relied on me to feed, care for, play with, walk, and bathe their dogs. I am also a registered nurse with my Master's Degree and work from home. I have a six-year-old, 9lb female chihuahua of my own, and I also foster for Ruff Start Rescue.

I live in town and have a fenced-in yard. I can accommodate as needed and according to you and your dog's preferences. I do not crate my dog at home, but she is dog-friendly.

Abi is wonderful! We have a small dog who tends to be on the shy side so we're always a little nervous about leaving her with new people. Abi eliminated all my worries. Her friendly, intuitive and calm easy manner put Tinker (and myself) right at ease. Right after I left Tinker was giving Abi her paw and enjoying walks. We received lots of pictures and updates and she was flexible with pick up and drop off times. Abi is a professional and a gem, very happy to have her as our sitter!
Abi is hands down an animal person and I recommend her for caring for any animal. She not only loves them but understands them and knows how to best care for them. Abi has had animals all her life. From horses to baby chicks, rabbits, cats, and dogs. When she was young she would bring home animals that needed care and care for them. More recently she has adopted a chihuahua of her own with medical needs that she addresses with the best medical care around and ensures that if she needs to be gone, her chihuahua is always left in the best of care. Abi has also fostered a dog until it was adopted and made sure that he went to a good home before letting the dog go. I am pleased to recommend Abi as a person to care for your pet. I am also someone who wants to give the best care to my animals and trust Abi with my whole heart in taking care of my geriatric dog. We also have ramps all over our house for our dog to get on and off the couch and up and down steps and Abi now has them in her house to adapt for our dog’s needs. There isn’t anyone i would trust more with our dog.

Schedule
I work full time from home Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. I am available in the afternoons to care for your pets and on weekends. I travel occasionally, but I will adjust my calendar as needed.
