I am currently in my senior year of college, trying to make some extra money for grad school, and also spend more time with animals, because I cannot currently afford to own one myself. I have time between and after classes when I typically go on walks, and my weekend plans are very flexible.

I love getting familiar with the pets favorite toys, treats, and physical care such as belly rubs or ear scratches so that they can get as comfortable with me as possible. I love cuddly dogs but am also a skilled ball thrower for games like fetch.

A typical day
I love going on walks and runs normally, so the company of a pet makes it a million times better. I love playing fetch and tug of war with the pets toys, as well as all the cuddles.

Pet care experience
I’ve had animals in my own house my whole life. Starting around 15 I began dog sitting for my neighbors when they went out of town. I’ve dog-sat dogs from a couple months to 13 years. I also have experience dealing with anxious dogs and rescues :)

Abby has cared for my dog Izzy many times, which is no small achievement. Izzy is a very spoiled Havanese with high standards and an even higher opinion of herself, and I trust her with very few people. Abby handles Izzy’s safety, feeding, and bathing with such care that I’m fairly certain Izzy believes she’s simply relocated to another branch of her luxury resort. I have complete confidence that if anything unexpected were to happen, Abby would promptly take Izzy to the vet, administer any needed medication, and care for her exactly as I would. Honestly, the biggest risk is that Izzy might not want to come home.
