Lifelong animal lover and dog mom!
I've taken care of dogs since my earliest memories! We always had half a dozen adult dogs in the house and puppies to raise in my childhood (we bred Weimaraners). As an adult, I worked in grooming and boarding for 5 years, and for nearly 2 decades now I have had frequent fosters and worked with rescues! I currently have 2 rescues of my own, an angel of a mini Aussie I've had for 5 years, and a medium sized Aussie mix I've had for about 6 months at time of writing. I formerly had a border collie mix and a cattle dog mix who went over the rainbow bridge last year, at age 16 and 14, respectively. I have experience in every sort of situation, difficult or not. I believe every dog is unique and that it's our responsibility to learn their individual languages- I take pride in being able to do so!

I have a huge fenced yard, where both of my Aussies love to zoom! They love making new friends, but I'm just as happy to come to your home and leave them home with dad. My mini Aussie is great therapy for all sorts of dogs though, and I love bringing her along whenever I can- she gets along with pretty much everyone. My new daughter is learning to love all sorts of fur babies as well. In my home we stick to a feeding, walk, and play schedule-- so it will be easy to adjust to whatever your routines are! The more details, the better-- I want your pups to be just as comfortable with me as they are when you're around. For anyone booking or requesting walks/hikes, I'd love to share our route with you on Strava so you can know where and for how long sniffs and shenanigans were had!

My two pups had a great stay with Abigail and her pups! I'm very happy with how everything went and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. She was very accommodating and understanding of my dog's special needs, and flexible dealing with my schedule. I received lots of updates during their stay that reassured me that my dogs were having a great time. I could tell from the way that they interacted with my pups that she is a caring dog person! Thank you so much!!
Abigail was fantastic. She was very accommodating for my last minute needs, and my dog was in great care. Loved her huge back yard and friendly doggos! Would definitely recommend.
This may have been the very best Rover experience I have ever had. Abigail and her husband are so attentive and thorough. My dogs fit right in to their pack and got extra special attention and treats. They have an amazing fenced in back yard that my dogs loved, complete with good signage and a box of supplies :) And the pups got special couch cuddle time. Abigail was flexible and a fantastic communicator. The pics and updates were funny and lovely. I felt more than comfortable leaving my dogs with her- it was like camp for them! Will absolutely be using again!

Abbey is not only a kind, reliable, mindful, and generous human but she is also a true animal whisperer! She is knowledgeable and trustworthy when it comes to dogs and cats (maybe others too but that’s what I have) and I go to her with questions I have when I can’t call my vet. I can’t recommend Abbey enough. Her dog, Bella, is also gets along well with everyone :)
