In a client’s home, I focus on creating a low-stress experience by maintaining their usual feeding schedule, potty routine, and favorite activities. I make sure doors, gates, and windows are always secure, and I’m very mindful about things like keeping harmful foods or small objects out of reach. I also keep their space clean. This includes refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes or pet areas daily, and making sure everything stays sanitary and comfortable. I pay close attention to behavior and health, so if anything seems off, I’ll communicate right away. I’m also experienced with administering medications and following detailed care instructions exactly as given.

I also make sure to know about any medical needs, allergies, or medications, as well as emergency contacts and vet information. Little details like what they’re afraid of, what comforts them, or any habits they have (like hiding or getting into things) are super helpful too.

I love making sure pets have fun, stay active, and feel mentally stimulated while you’re away, and I always tailor activities to their personality and energy level. For cats, I focus on interactive play with toys like feather wands, lasers, or toy mice, along with puzzle toys or treat games to keep them engaged, plus relaxing activities like window watching or gentle brushing if they enjoy affection. For dogs, I include walks based on their routine, playtime like fetch or tug-of-war, and enrichment activities like sniffing games or basic training reinforcement. No matter the pet, I also make sure they get plenty of attention, companionship, and love so they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for the entire time.
