When I was home with my family my dogs and cat were indoors. Crate training was a necessity due to the are we lived in. Our dogs were walked and fed in the morning and evening. Our cat was litter trained and roamed the house. All animals had appropriate toys, playtime and cuddles everyday.

Took excellent care of our dog! He had a great time, and Abigail was very communicative. Definitely recommend.

I hired Abi based on her reviews and the fact she put on her profile (now removed) that she hikes. I live close to a popular hiking spot so I thought it would be a good match. During our meet and greet, I thought I was pretty clear she needed a good hike or walk in the morning before it got hot. I hired her over two other girls, even though she was the most expensive. I thought I was giving my dog the best. The good things about Abi was she was on time to meet me and stayed until her requested time to leave. She was responsive when I reached out. My dog was safe and not missing when I got home. My house did not catch fire. These are good things! I was disappointed when she told me she actually didn’t like hiking just before I was leaving for the airport, despite her profile. My dog loves her morning hike and the community there. I requested she come early to show her safety for the house and how to feed the dog. After all, I am allowing a stranger into my home with my most prized possession, my dog. There are a couple steps to her feeding since my dog has a medical condition, but it’s not complicated. I wanted to keep my dog in her routine while I was gone to prevent stress and possibly making her condition worse. The walks were brief and one day, I think the walk did not happen. She left my house open with a removable dog door in a slider door and went to get a hair cut. This means my house was open and vulnerable to robbery and my dog could wander outside unattended, which she did. It broke trust and gave me a lot of stress and anxiety while I was trying to enjoy my vacation. Like all homes in LA, there are outdoor cameras and an alarm system I could monitor. I received no updates unless I asked. I left her with a clean house and dog. The house was not “spotless” when I got home, as one review said. Dishes in a stinky sink, dirty counters, and trash full with all her take out. She finally played with the dog a couple hours before she was done with her house sit and sent me a video. It was very sweet and I wondered why she didn’t do that for the other 4 days she was here. I even allowed her to have her roommate over if she wanted so she could enjoy her house sit. I think Abi is better suited for dogs who don’t need a lot of exercise. And cats, who are way less maintenance. Maybe not a house sit. She seems good with animals and a sweet young lady. I just didn’t have peace of mind while I was away. I have been spoiled with other pet sitters that were not available this time, and I guess she also walked into a situation where I expected more. My dog is like my kid. I thought I was clear in my expectations of dog and home during our meet and greet and the brief meeting before I left. I printed out her schedule as well, which was walk time, feeding times, and bedtime. I most likely won’t use rover again.

If I could give Abbey more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! She took incredible care of my dog, Marbles, while I was away all weekend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. From the moment we met, it was clear that Abbey genuinely loves animals. She treated Marbles like family, gave him so much love and attention, and kept me updated throughout the weekend, which made being away so much easier. I came home to a happy, relaxed, and well-cared-for pup—the best sign that he had an amazing time. Abbey is kind, dependable, thoughtful, and truly goes above and beyond. Knowing Marbles was in her care gave me complete peace of mind, and that’s priceless. I wholeheartedly recommend Abbey to anyone looking for someone they can fully trust with their furry family member. We will absolutely be booking with her again, and I know Marbles can’t wait for his next stay!

Love Abigail and will definitely call upon her again. She stayed with my babygirl and gave her lots of love. She followed my crazy wants and needs. ( because I am a particular cat momma 🙃)
