I think it's important to meet pets where they are at. From the obvious checking your feet for sneaking cats to the individual attention required for walking each dog. Dogs have their own individual reaction to outside stimuli and it's important to cater to each of their needs.
Information Abigail B. would like to know about your pet
Its important to know as much as possible about a dog from temperament, size, any behavioral issues, and their level of leash training. Understanding their energy level and exercise needs is essential to provide appropriate exercise. Knowledge of their medical conditions, allergies, and any special requirements is vital for their well-being. Awareness of their socialization skills, including how they interact with other dogs and humans, can help ensure a safe and enjoyable walk.
A typical day
I think mental and physical exercise are equally as important. When walking I try to find new places to walk when possible, so dogs who are up to it can experience new terrain. I also like providing brain games, like nose work or training practice.

Pet care experience
Hi there, I have taken care of pets of all kinds since I was young. I grew up caring for chickens, and have always had a dog best friend for as long as I can remember. I currently have 2 dogs, both rescue mixed breeds. One is a 5 year old terrier mix and a 1 year old German Shepard mix, they have certainly taught me a lot over the years and they bring me joy and chaos in the best ways. I also have 2 cats, and love to snuggle kitties! I have been walking dogs and pet sitting for the last few years for neighbors and family friends. I love making friends with pets who are uncertain at first. There is a certain joy that comes when I dog finally greets you as a friend.
Reviews

This is our first time using Rover and Abigail has truly made it a wonderful experience. She’s so timely in her communications and takes such good care of our high energy GSP pup! We are so grateful for her!

Re-booked with Abigail, she always comes through for my three dogs! They love her and she is so trusted to show up and take care of them.

Abigail was so wonderful! On time, and great communication! My three huge dogs loved her!

Abigail has been so wonderful!! My mini poodle is 9 months old and he can be a handful at times, Abigail is very patient and kind to him. I was able to set up a repeating schedule to cover my work days. She is very dependable and understanding. It brings me a lot of peace of mind knowing he is in good care while I’m at work.
