Hi, I’m Abel! I’m a recent college grad and experienced petsitter living in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta, GA. Growing up in a household full of animals I've had the privilege of a lifetime of experience caring for animals of all shapes, sizes and stages of life, picking up knowledge on obedience training and animal health along the way. I started doing Rover back in 2019 while living in Boston, and since relocating to Georgia in August '22 I've picked up further experience as an Animal Care Specialist at the biggest daycare and boarding facility in the city. For as long as an animal is in my care, I care for them as if they were one of my own. It’s also important to me that pet owners feel peace of mind in trusting me with their furry family member- I will do everything in my power to accommodate y’all. Currently I'm available for walks throughout the week and maintain a flexible enough schedule for sitting and boarding gigs through the weekend. I look forward to connecting with you and your pet!

Safety, trust & environment
Typically I prefer to watch pets in client’s homes as it’s an environment they’re already familiar with. My current apartment allows enough space for 1-2 cats, 2 small dogs, or one medium sized dog. I always make an effort to send photos and keep clients updated on their pets’ care and wellbeing.

Schedule
I enjoy an active lifestyle in a neighborhood that's exceptionally dog friendly, with a perfect balance of green and urban space. The nearest dog park is less than a mile away, and my complex has a large open courtyard. Alongside my Rover gigs, I'm a musician and music educator. I do much of my work remotely, and currently I'm typically teaching at the studio from 3:15pm-6:30pm on Fridays, and 10:30am to 4pm on Saturdays. I take care to update my calendar regularly and keep my clients in the loop. At most, on studio days I can be expected to leave your pet alone for 4-6 hrs in communication based on your preferences/ animal’s needs.
