Abdel was amazing! We left our dog Appa with him for two weeks. Abdel took great care of Appa and sent us lots of pictures. Our flight home was also delayed multiple days and Abdel was super flexible with looking after Appa for additional time. Would 100% recommend!
Abdel is amazing! I always worry leaving my senior dog and this was an especially long trip, but I know he was very well cared for at all times in Abdel’s care. He seemed happy and comfortable in all the pictures and on pickup.
We went with Abdel for our Rover on two separate occasions. Although our dog was never harmed, both times his communication was often very poor. A couple days into our second trip, we hadn’t heard from Abdel and asked to see pictures (or even just text updates) about our dog. We were told he had phone issues and couldn’t send any. We would often have to reach out multiple times to get an update, and when we finally did get one, the responses were short and unhelpful. Before our dog’s second visit, he informed us he was watching two other dogs in addition to ours, and seemed reluctant to answer basic questions we had about those dogs. When we picked our dog up, he gave us one of the other dog’s wipes, and did not return our treats, poop bags or food. Again, our dog did not ever appear to be harmed and always seemed perfectly fine, but if you are a dog owner that likes to hear about your dog and receive updates, the lack of communication on Abdel’s end may be unsatisfactory.

Whether your pup is staying overnight, just visiting for a few hours, or joining me for a stroll through the beautiful Embarcadero and Mission Bay neighborhoods (where I live), they’ll be in kind, caring hands.
A typical day
I focus on both physical and mental stimulation—playing games, sniffing new scents, and exploring nearby dog parks are all part of the daily routine and activities.
