I have been caring for dogs of my own and others’ dogs since I was a young child. I potty-trained a family member’s dog over a one week vacation when I was just 12 years old. I have been regularly dog sitting for neighbors and friends since around the same age and have worked with dogs of various ages and breeds throughout the years. I am skilled in communicating with dogs and have a keen ability to determine their needs. I care for every dog I encounter and they typically take a quick liking to me as well. I work remotely and my schedule is very flexible. The only time frames I hope to avoid with walks and drop-ins is rush hour traffic. Prior to jumping into our walk or play time, I will take the time to sit on your doggie’s level and allow them to survey and sniff me until they appear comfortable and ready to build trust with me. If we will be going on walks, I will take them on some loops around the yard first to see how they respond to their leash &/or harness and verbal commands. If you have key words or signals you typically utilize, I will implement whichever of those you communicate with me. I will do my best to meet your pup’s needs according to their demeanor and your communication! If your pup likes to sniff and survey their environment we will take our time so they can indulge their curiosity, if your pup is active and athletic we can even go on a jog!
