Hi! I’m Abby, thank you for stopping by my profile! 🐾 I’ve been caring for animals for over 14 years, including owning multiple dogs at once, and I have professional experience working as a pet care specialist, and animal caretaker for a few pet daycares. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all sizes and ages, including seniors, strays, and rescues, as well as fish, birds, amphibians, rodents, and reptiles. Since starting Rover part-time in 2023, I have been trusted to care for 80+ animals. I’m Pet First Aid Certified (Levels 1 & 2) through the Ottawa Humane Society, a course I took specifically to be prepared to care for other people’s pets. I have experience administering oral medications, puffers, and insulin. Before starting Rover, I volunteered at an animal rescue in Uganda for 7 months, where I helped nurse newborn kittens and puppies, did basic wound care, and worked on socializing stray dogs and cats. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for so many different animals, and I know that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pet is energetic, nervous, elderly, shy, or just loves a little extra attention, I’m happy to meet them where they are at and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Schedule
I work full-time remotely from home so that I can pay attention to your animal during the day. I am fully available on the weekends.

- I would like to know how your dog reacts on a leash regarding leash walking behaviour and reactiveness towards other dogs so I can plan! No behaviour will be an issue for me. I also need your pets veterinary information, list of known allergies and emergency contact phone numbers.
