I've spent over 14 years immersed in the pet world, from working as an assistant manager at Pet Supermarket to running two pet-focused blogs (The Chesnut Mutts and Healing Whiskers) covering pet product reviews and small animal therapy training. I'm a longtime dog owner, grew up with cats, a former therapy rat handler, and have hands-on experience with everything from fish to farm animals. Pets aren't just something I care for- they're something I've built my career and passions around!

I treat every home I visit with the same respect and care I'd want for my own. I always follow your instructions closely, whether that's feeding schedules, medication, or specific routines your pet is used to. Throughout each visit, I stay attentive to your pet's behavior and physical condition, watching for any signs of illness, injury, or changes that could signal a medical concern. If anything seems off, I'll let you know right away so there are no surprises when you get home. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pet and your home are in good hands.

Abby (Abigail) loves all kinds of animals and even has a dog that was a stray she rescued. She has a meal and medicine schedule for her dog. Abby also trained her dogs to do tricks and potty trained them. She has watched my dogs when I took vacations and sent me pictures with updates while I was away. I would come to her for advice on things about my mini yorkie dog and my cat as well but I had to put my cat down. I trust my dog with her due to her loving care and knowledge of animals especially dogs. I would highly recommend Abigail for being a responsible and loving pet care giver just because of personal experience with the pets she's had and as well as with my pets.
Abby is an amazing pet parent and would ensure the highest care available. They will ensure your pet will be cared for and loved, as well as take the pet's health into consideration (pills, shots, etc.). They also have experience with non-traditional pet care such as sheep, goats, rats, birds, ferrets, fish, etc. Being a former Pet Supermarket employee and Sheep Barn caretaker, Abby is one of the best you can hire!
I've known Abby for years! I've seen her interact with many dogs and animals, my own included. I would trust her in a heartbeat with my babies. She's got lots of experience and is super friendly with the animals!

I work from home with flexible hours, which means I have plenty of free time throughout the day to check in on your pet. I can be flexible with timing to fit your pet's routine and your schedule, whether that's a quick midday visit or something later in the evening.
