I care for pets by getting as much detail as possible from owners about their pet(s) as well as how they provide care in their own home. I want to ensure that my introduction into your home and your pet's life results in as little stress for them as possible. To do this, I believe it is important for me to implement the practices you value, whether that be spending extra time on play activities for energetic animals or exercising distance and patience for animals that are more anxious around people. I also am hyper vigilant with pet security and safety, meaning I will triple check things like fence locks, collar and harness tightness, and signals of animal wellbeing.

If your per as any special needs or behavioral quirks, I'd love to know beforehand. I want to know as much as I can about how your pet responds and interacts with people in order to make them feel as safe and comfortable around me as possible. Also, if there is anything in particular that scares them, such as new people in the home or certain objects in/outside of the home, please let me know.
A typical day
I play with their toys and get them some exercise, but I also love relaxing with them and giving lots of love and scratches:) Most importantly, I will do whatever keeps your pet happy, healthy, and having fun! Taking pictures of animals brings me so much joy, so you can expect updates with photos of your pet throughout my time with them. If you prefer for me not take pictures or want fewer updates than I tend to give, please let me know:)

Hi, there! My name is Abby and I have 5+ years experience working at a dog rescue shelter as well as pet-sitting, and I have owned pets for my entire life. I've worked with and owned both dogs and cats, and I look forward to caring for furry friends of all shapes, sizes, and breeds!

Abby was very responsive and was great about checking in and keeping me updated!
I’ve been hiring Abby for a while and have always left positive reviews, but this time I checked my Furbo videos to see how her visits went and saw her just playing on her phone and completely ignoring my cat. Her Rover card said she was petting him, and it’s possible my camera missed it, but in the 20 or so minutes of video I got she didn’t pet him and only even looked at him once or twice. She also walked in 2 minutes after she started the visit and left about 6 minutes before she ended it. Very disappointing.
Abby was fantastic. Accepted our request on short notice. All communication was quick and complete. We felt so much better being away knowing that our kitties were taken care of. Will definitely be requesting Abby again.
Abby was a great sitter for my cat! She was very responsive, always kind, and followed direction well. I also appreciated that she sent pictures and updates every visit. I highly recommend her.
