Dogs fill my heart – I will fill theirs too!
I’ve had dogs around me since childhood, growing up with a black Labrador, Angel, and a Great Dane, Blue, so caring for dogs has always been a part of my life. While I can’t have a dog permanently right now, dog sitting is the next best thing! I’m very attentive and make sure every dog I care for feels right at home, safe and loved. I enjoy taking dogs on short or long walks based on their needs, and if they’re the cuddly type, I’m more than happy to pamper them with affection. Nala had a fab time with Abbie and was very well looked after. Abbie sent us messages and photos to let us know how she was getting on. Would highly recommend Abbie and we will definitely use her again in the future.
I have thought long and hard before writing this. Unfortunately Barney didn’t stay with Abbie. Abbie did say she lived in a open plan house and asked if Barney would use a crate, I did message back saying that we too live in an open plan house and he has boundaries in that he doesn’t go upstairs. No more was said about this until the morning of our holiday, where we were asked where his crate was, we don’t own a crate and didn’t think I’d have to purchase one in order for Barney to stay, I did state at the door we don’t have one, we were then asked for guarantees that he wouldn’t cause any damage. This infuriated my husband as he thought that those with Rover were actually dog friendly people, not just someone wanting to make a few pounds looking after someone’s pet and keeping them in a cage so my husband removed Barney, Stressful as we were supposed to be going on holiday that morning and catching a train. So last minute calls and added expense for another to look after Barney, who is more than just a dog or money tree to us. We have had no communication from Abbie since or offer of a refund or part refund so it’s fair to say we won’t be using Rover again or recommending this service.. Having not used the service I cannot star it
I was hesitant at leaving Eric my 5 month old Springer with anyone but after meeting Abbie I was instantly relaxed. I did get emotional leaving him and he took a while to settle which is understandable for any dog to be left behind. However Abbie was great with updates via text and pictures and I was reassured he was being well cared for while I was away for the weekend. I would highly recommend Abbie to anyone!
This was Eddie’s first night at a sitters house. The contact from Abbie was very reassuring. Eddie clearly settled straight in.
Abbie was fantastic with our boy! He had the best time with her, went on a long walk and was so well looked after. Abbie’s communication was excellent and she is definitely someone I would want looking after our dog on the regular!
Abbie stayed for the second time to look at the three dogs whilst we went to New York and again they’ve all enjoyed spending time with her. I got regular updates with plenty of pictures of how they were getting on. I was more nerves leaving them this time round because of Charles deteriorating eyesight but Abbie stuck to our routine as much as she could and he was happy. Abbie looked after our house, even watering my plants, feeding the rabbit and the fish. Abbie’s a lovely young lady, I would highly recommend her for take care of your pooch

Schedule
I work fully remotely so I am fully flexible on when you need pet care. This means I can have dogs with me on any day of the week, I am able to take them on walks before I start work online, on my lunch break and after work.

Safety, trust & environment
My garden is fully fenced which they can run around in, I can cater for a crate in the house if needed, whatever they prefer. There are lots of great walking routes located around the house including a nature reserve just 5 minutes away. I drive so am able to take the dog's place/help with picking up and dropping off if needed. Please note the house is quite open plan so would prefer a crate to be available to use where possible.
A typical day
They can explore in my garden, which has both grass and pebbles (I will always make sure to keep an eye on the dog in the garden), I can play game such as fetch with sticks and balls. I can take them up to the local nature reserve or water park just near the house, which has lots of different terrains and hopefully new experiences for them. There is a place near by called Cotham Woods which has pet play parks! My house is pretty cosy so I hope to make them feel at home straight away.
