A friendly dog lover who enjoys a good walk
I have taken care of dogs of many different breeds and ages for a number of years, having loved dogs since a child when we had a family Labrador. I regularly look after my friends’, family’s and neighbour’s dogs, walking them, checking in on them during the day, and having them to stay during the day and overnight. I’ve looked after both puppies from 6 months and older dogs of 10+ years and all ages between, and often look after 2 dogs at a time.

Schedule
I work from home the majority of the week, which gives me the flexibility to look after dogs in my home. My job is flexible so it’s easy to take time out in the middle of the day for dog walking and I'm always ready for a tea break playing with a pup. I’m available a lot of weekends and enjoy walking and spending time outside, where it’s always nice to be accompanied by a four legged friend.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for a dog, I am keen to know as much as possible about them, their routine and habits. It’s important for me that a dog is comfortable with me and feels safe in my environment, so I always like to meet them before looking after them. I'll be with your dog all day and won't leave them at home alone at ay point, and my partner Luke is usually at home and available for dog cuddles too. If there are certain rules you like to stick to, like only having certain types of treats or not being allowed on the sofa, please do let me know. I will always follow your guidance for your dog - you know them best!
A typical day
I like to make sure dogs are being entertained but also have time to rest. I’ll play with them inside or out in the garden, and also like to stimulate them by doing tricks or problem solving, like getting a treat out of a box. I also really enjoy walking and getting outside, so am keen to take dogs out on a walk in their preferred walking environment and will make sure they have time to sniff around.
