Hello - I'm Abbie. I have recently left the corporate world to pursue my graduate degree full time and reside in Cranford, NJ. I am a proud dog mom to one doggie - Kai - who absolutely adores other dogs. He uses Rover too when I am away! I have been taking care of animals since I could remember! Growing up in an animal lover household, I have had birds, turtles, bunnies, cats, and dogs. I got my first pet when I was 5 years old; a bunny named Chocolate. I am sadly away from my animals in my home. At my family home, I have a yorkie named Dexter and many silkie chickens; Dobby, Tori, and Sunshine just to name a few! Throughout my undergrad, I also lived with my roommate's Aussie named Asher whom I bathed, walked, and played lots of fetch with. I started house sitting when I was in high school for my neighbors and family-friends on vacations/weekends. I trained my dog Dexter on my own when I was 15 years old and am used to bringing him on daily walks! I am happy to walk, bathe, cuddle, and feed your pet along with any other services you would need. I have a strong love for all animals big and small and will treat them like my own (and so will Kai)

I have known Abbie for a few years now, during which I saw her care for Asher. He is an energetic dog, but Abbie went above and beyond to make sure he got the exercise and mental activities he needed! She also spent several days with my dog, Max. Max is normally shy, but Abbie was caring towards him, and he warmed up to her immediately. I know Abbie to be responsible and compassionate towards all animals, and I would definitely recommend her as a pet caregiver!

Schedule
Since I am a graduate student, my schedule is very fluid. I have classes in the evenings mostly and my weekends are quite free. Since I have a dog of my own, I am already up around 7-8AM for morning walks a food. I walk my dog at least 1 hour a day - one long walk during lunch time and another in the evening after dinner.

I rent a home with an unfenced yard. I already take Kai on 2-3 walks a day. I will be able to walk your furry friend as well!
Pets
A typical day
I first like to give dogs a lot of love and scratches to make sure they are acclimated to me. Personally, I like walking in parks and hiking trails so they have more space to roam. I like throwing frisbees and tennis balls but if they do not like fetch I am not opposed to a casual stroll.
