my experience at a glance: * 3 years as a rover pet sitter taking care of hundreds of different animals, even some birds & reptiles * 4 years in a grooming salon handling pets * 6 months as an animal care specialist at Tacoma Humane * 5 years volunteering once a week at the local shelter working with dogs of all types and personalities * 20+ years of being a pet mom to my own dogs and family dogs my sister got her dog when i was 8 years old, and my life has been animals ever since. i feel like i can communicate with them better than people lol. i have a solid education in dog behavior & training, and am always learning more. i adore cats too; i have two cats of my own and i sometimes wonder how i ever lived without them. it will be my sworn duty to make friends with your cat if at all possible. and i don't mean in an overbearing way, i know the way to a cat's heart is respecting their boundaries. I have learned a lot more about cat behavior through my time at Tacoma Humane, and love to use that knowledge to make friends. i can pick up on other animal care very quickly if you are willing to educate me on what is involved. that being said, i have cared for turtles, rabbits, birds, chinchillas, and many various other small animals. but i'm always looking to expand the list! i have been on and off rover since covid. if you are one of my old clients, thank you for coming back, and i hope what i offer works for you so we can work together again! (i apologize if you are hoping for my housesitting services, but due to my living situation i need to be at home to take care of my babies.)
